On 06 Oct 21, I brought my vehicle to Liberty Toyota to get a service recall performed on my vehicle to apply frame corrosion resistant in the under carriage. I was notified of a second recall that needed get a service recall performed on my vehicle to apply frame corrosion resistant in the under carriage. I was notified of a second recall that needed to be performed regarding a third break light. I told them to go ahead and perform the service on that too. After a while, I was informed that I needed to purchase a break light assembly for that third break light because it was broken. (My first mistake was to not verify that this was the case). I keep my vehicle dealer maintained so I told them to order the light assembly without asking for a cost first. It cost me $171.15 for the part. (I found a replacement for $60.00 bucks online) I then had to make another appointment to wait for my part to arrive so that I could get my recall performed. Once I arrived at my second appointment today 10/13/21 @0700 in the morning, I was greeted by David in the service department and got my vehicle checked in. I was also asked where did I want to get dropped off at and I said that I was staying with the vehicle. I was told that the service team would not arrive until 0800 so I was thinking why did they set me up for a 0700 appointment then. I waited for 3 ½ hours and at 10:30 I was told my vehicle was ready. My total was $358.14. What a shock for lack of better words. They said that my vehicle was worked on for 2 ½ hours. If it took your service guy 2 ½ hours to replace my third break light then he should be fired for incompetence. So this “recall service” cost me over $500 dollars. My monthly vehicle payment is $600. Imagine how I feel. I don’t even want to begin to think how much it would have cost if I had dropped off my vehicle and left it there. Things to take away from this: 1. Always ask for all the details 2. Ask for proof, if possible, of the defects or flaws that need to be fixed. Do not take any ones word. 3. If possible and you don’t mind…look for parts online and you will most likely find them cheaper. I could have ordered the Toyota light assembly, installed it myself, and then had them perform their “recall”. I would have only lost the 358 dollars in labor. This dealership lost a loyal customer and will never see my vehicle again. More

I scheduled an appointment 9 AM to have an oil change/tire rotation (30K miles service) and a recall (fuel Pump replacement) repair. I get a call at 3 PM telling me they haven't begun yet and tha change/tire rotation (30K miles service) and a recall (fuel Pump replacement) repair. I get a call at 3 PM telling me they haven't begun yet and that my truck which only has 27,000 miles on it needs over $1100 dollars worth of additional services. You name it, my truck needed it....unbelievable how they try and fleece you for everything they can get. I've purchased several cars here and have used the service center numerous times, but this will be the last time I set foot in this place. Be warned, they are looking to fleece you by telling you need need a bunch of BS maintenance! More
Thought Liberty gave complimentary wash after a service also, a video inspection of the vehicle instead of just telling me what's right or wrong is good like other Toyota dealers also, a video inspection of the vehicle instead of just telling me what's right or wrong is good like other Toyota dealers More
