Recently bought a used car mainly online through the dealership. Everything went very well at the dealership and they were very friendly. We love the car and could t be happier with the deal. Lost a sale over less than $300 I went to Liberty Ford on a Friday to look at and possibly purchase a car that I had been looking at online. I had done my research, knew what I wante I went to Liberty Ford on a Friday to look at and possibly purchase a car that I had been looking at online. I had done my research, knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. When I got there, the salesman I had first dealt with was off so I dealt with a colleague of his. We test drove the car and I told him thanks I had other cars to look at as well. He asked what he could do to earn my business that day. I told him take $1,000 off the price like I had emailed when I saw the car and I would buy it right then. We went back and forth a few times on payments. I was willing to put some money down (so I came up on my price) but I wanted $285/72 months. They were at $289/72 months. I told them I was at that price I thought was fair (I didn't have to buy a car that day and had other places to check out as well). After 3 hours there, we ended up leaving over a difference of $288. At one point, the salesman came back that he could get me the $285. I was happy. Yep, it would only add on 3 months of payments. Really? As if I didn't know how to do math. That would have cost me an additional $567 over the life of the loan. I left and emailed the original salesman and said I was going to buy a car soon and to let me know if he could budge at all. He came back that the price was firm. If he had counter offered and met me in the middle I would have done the deal but he didn't. On Monday I went to another dealership and purchased the same car. Same color, same interior, almost the same mileage, etc. In fact the only difference was a few thousand miles. I got the vehicle for the price I wanted from Liberty and now have told 3 people about the service I received at Liberty (where I didn't buy) and Fred Martin (where I did buy and will purchase my next vehicles as well). Long story short. Know what you want, know what you want to pay and be willing to walk away. You may end up with a better deal somewhere else. More
Wonderful Service I had a problem with my rear right passenger tire. My service advisor was Mike Kopczyk. In conclusion, I received great service from this dealership. I would high recommend the service department for its professional work. My last visit was very satisfactory, but before, I had my car in 4 times for a syncing problem, and even though they knew there was a problem with the system, it took them 6 months to fix the problem and tha car in 4 times for a syncing problem, and even though they knew there was a problem with the system, it took them 6 months to fix the problem and that wasn't until I contacted ford headquarters and complained that anything was done a d it was finally replaced, More
