I went online and requested a quote from Lia Honda on a new Honda Ridgeline. I received a phone call from a lady scheduling a test drive of some of their used Ridgelines. I told her that I was not intere new Honda Ridgeline. I received a phone call from a lady scheduling a test drive of some of their used Ridgelines. I told her that I was not interested because they were not the model line I was looking for. I was looking for an RTL which comes fully loaded and they only had a sport model, the RTS, which is just above the base model. I already saw what they had on the internet in the used department and that is why i requested a quote on new. Well the lady talked me into coming in and taking it for a test drive. I thought, sure, I've never been in one, it wouldn't hurt. I got there, walked in the door and three Honda employees appeared to be talking with each other. One finally came over to me and asked me if he could help. I told him someone called me and scheduled for me to take a Ridgeline for a test drive. I must have been standing in the door way for about 5 minutes before he came over with the keys and a plate before we went out side to see the Ridgeline. He put the dealer plate on it, handed me the keys and said, "what do you think? 10 minutes?", i said sure. I drove it around the block and came back. He came out to me as soon as i parked the truck, didn't really ask me any questions, took the keys from me and the dealer plate off and started walking away. I had to ask him, if i could check out a few things about the truck as I test drove it to see if A HONDA RIDGELINE was the vehicle I would be purchasing. My whole experience with this guy made me feel like I was a big inconvenience for him and I would have been better off not even coming in. Well, he then proceeded to take me inside and started asking me some questions. I told him what I was looking for and why and he seemed to be on a mission to talk me out of what I wanted. he told me that I could not find what I was looking for. Mind you, I found 25 used, in reason, in the area that were what I was looking for before I came in to see this guy. I then told him I would consider trading in. He asked me what I was looking to get on trade of my vehicle and he pretty much insulted me to my face and made me feel like i was an idiot for even thinking I could get such an audacious price. I had looked up the value of my vehicle on Kelley Blue Book and NADA before I stopped in to see him, and I was looking for a reasonable dollar amount about midline of what it was worth according to these two organizations and his recommended value was at least $5,000.00 below that. I hope to God that I never have to do any dealings with this dealership again. More

I ENJOYED WORKING WITH MARK ELLIS VERY MUCH, BUT WHEN I HAD A PROBLEM MARK DISAPPE I BOUGHT 3 CARS FROM MARK ELLIS AND LIA HONDA IN THE PAST 3 YEARS. I ENJOYED WORKING WITH MARK ELLIS VERY MUCH, BUT WHEN I HAD A PROBLEM MARK DISAPPEARED AND MICHAEL FOOTE THE GENERAL MANAGER FOR LIA HONDA CAME INTO THE PICTURE. HAD I KNOWN HOW I WOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED SO POORLY , I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A KEY CHAIN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I BOUGHT A VEHICLE FROM LIA AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE VEH. NEEDED A $1000 BREAK JOB, CALIPERS, PADS EMERGENCY BREAK, EVERYTHING BREAKS. I HAD THE WORK DONE AND ASKED THE DEALER TO LOOK AT IT ?? WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO SPEND $1000 ON A CAR 6-MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE ? MR. FOOTE BLAMED ME FOR THE BRAKES AND WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE 150 POINT INSPECTION THEY DID, HE SAID YOU SAID THAT NOT ME ?? I SAID ISNT THAT WHAT YOU GUYS SAY ON YOUR COMMERCIALS HE SAID AGAIN, THOS ARE YOUR WORDS NOT MINE. HE WAS THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I CONTACTED A PEER OF FOOTE'S BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET TO THE LIA BROTHERS, APPARENT BILLY JR. RUNS THE ALBANY HONDA AND THE WORD I GOT, FOOTE WAS READ THE RIOT ACT . THE FUNNY THING IS I GOOGLED THE FOOTE GUY AND THERE WERE OTHER COMPLAINTS, NOT SUPRISING. I THINK THE LIAS ARE A CLASS ACT , BUT THEY REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS DEAL. ALSO, TO HAVE A GUY LIKE THIS FOOTE FOOL SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF THE LIA NAME IS THE BIGGEST TRAVESTY THAT COULD HAPPEN. THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE READING THIS AND THINK IT WAS ABOUT THE MONEY, I WAS OFFERED MONEY AND TOLD THEM TO DONATE IT TO CHARITY, OR AN ADD TO HIRE A NEW gm. More
Great experience after having a previously bad experieince with a different dealership. I was able to come in and tell them what I wanted and what prices I wanted and they worked well with me. Overall excellent experience. Complete in an hour and a half. This included test drive, trade in appraisal, discussion of trems and completion of paerwork. This was a Sunday afternoon. Worst experience ever! The salesman told us he would make the remaining lease payments on our 2007 Odyssey when we traded it in for a new lease on a PIlot. They took the Odyssey and delivered the Pilot on th the remaining lease payments on our 2007 Odyssey when we traded it in for a new lease on a PIlot. They took the Odyssey and delivered the Pilot on the same day. My husband and I drove off feeling very satisfied. Fast-Forward 6 weeks later and I find out that I still owe Honda Finance $2700 for the remaining payments to the vehicle plus excess wear and tear. Called Lia to see what happened and the salesman denied having ever taken in a trade!!!! Went to look at my paperwork and I had no proof that they took the Odyssey! Buyer beware my husband and I took them at face value and I didnt read the paperwork over carefully. We continued to fight with them and they fought back the GM telling my husband that he should just "pay his bills" and that if I couldnt "be nice" that I should not come to the dealership! Unbelievable! They ended up cutting us a check for the remaining payments, but not without letting us know that they were doing us a favor, when in reality they were just doing what they said they would! They are very dishonest and disrepectful they do not know how to treat a customer DONT GO THERE dont give them your business they dont deserve it. More

I couldn't have been happier with the experience I had at LIA Honda. I dealt with Leigh Keller via the Internet and, based on her knowledge, expertise and courtesy, it was an easy decision to set-up a lease LIA Honda. I dealt with Leigh Keller via the Internet and, based on her knowledge, expertise and courtesy, it was an easy decision to set-up a lease arrangement. My credit wasn't the best at the time but Leigh and her colleagues put together a package that was easy to work with. Both Leigh and Fred walked me through all of the paperwork I had to sign and why in a language I understood. Bottom line is I will definitely point anyone in the direction of LIA Honda when one decides to purchase or lease their next vehicle. More
I recently purchased a car from Lia Of Albany for my fiance. Normally I have gone out of my way to avoid car dealerships. As it happened, the particular car my fiance wanted, an '08 Hond accord COUPE turned out to be quite the challenge to locate as most Accords are sedans. Via one of the many online search engines, I found one at Lia Honda of Albany, and instantly thought, "Ok here we go again." I was so wrong. I spoke with a young woman, Leighanne Keller, via email at first, then by phone, then face to face. This very impressive sales consultant, not only answered every conceivable concern I had with promptness, professionalism, and efficiency, but had me looking FORward to the 150 minute drive that was necessary to view the vehicle. Leigh quickly became a friend and continues today, weeks after the sale, to touch base and ask about the car and our level of satisfaction. This one individual changed my opinion 100% about working with a dealership. Michelle was very friendly, informative and professional. The whole buying experience was never pressured. It would have been nice to have 24 hrs to accept the deal not 2 hrs.
