Be warned-Watch out for Service Department Deception I've been loyal to this dealership and its service department for over 10 years. It pains me to state this but that loyalty and trust ended when I jus I've been loyal to this dealership and its service department for over 10 years. It pains me to state this but that loyalty and trust ended when I just recently caught the service department in a major deception. I had taken my car in for recall service recently and while the car was in the service department hands they reported a few other things that needed addressing. Most were small items and things I would expect to be needing replacement; however one items was a rather large sum and something about it didn't make sense to me at the time but I couldn't figure out why at the time. Btw, the car has never seen another service department other than this one so they have all the historical service records in their system and the car has always been serviced per the Lexus recommended intervals/ recommened replacements, etc. Anyway, I didn't have time the day they did the recall work to address the additional items they were recommending so I had them do the recall service work and scheduled a time to bring the car back for the other fixes. On the way home from the recall service I started thinking about one of the service items they mentioned and I thought that was unusual because I faintly rememberd them doing a similar service being described a while back. So, before I took the car back I checked the car and had pictures taken of the under carriage which showed one of their recommended "needed fixes" to be completely false. It also happened to be the most expensive of the items they said needed repair. I returned to the dealership on the service appointment day to have have the other fixes done and confronted them about the false "needed fix." They put the car on the lift, and looked for themselves. The service manager came back (a different one than I had for the recall appointment) and acknowledged that their was no "needed fix" to the rather large item. This was not an inexpensive item they got wrong and a blanant abuse since their written description of the issue was grossly different than even the slightest quick look inspection disqualified. Had I not followed up on my hunch and checked the car and taken pictures I would have made them a nice little profit based on their disception. The sadder part was after they acknolwedged it should never have been recommended for repair there was no apology, no how can we make it up to you, just a shurg, like so what we got caught lying, who cares and what can you do about it because you caught us before having to pay for it. There's even a bit more to the story that's even more dishonest in my opinion but frankly I'm tired of thinking about it so I'll leave it at this. Ironically, my wife and I had just decided to replace this car with another Lexus but after this service experience deception it won't be from this dealership's nor the dealership parent company. WORST LEXUS DEALER IN THE COUNTRY Lexus should be ASHAMED to be associated with this dealer! My wife and I went to Lexus of Tampa bay with interest in purchasing a car. They failed to Lexus should be ASHAMED to be associated with this dealer! My wife and I went to Lexus of Tampa bay with interest in purchasing a car. They failed to sell us a car on day 1. We received calls every single day to come back to work out a deal. I went in again on 2 more separate occasions, still with empty words given over the phone. Finally, my wife and I decided to give them 1 last shot. We actually made a deal this time. They ran the credit check and approved us. We even phoned insurance to have the car added to our policy. Before going into the finance office to sign the final papers, one of the sales managers (Mike) came to us in the lobby retracting a deal that he CLEARLY agreed on with my wife and I. He then told us that we were making it up (in the middle of the lobby, in front of many people). The finance manger came to get us to sign the papers and take the car. We still decided that we would take the car, because it was a good deal. After we went into the finance office, ANOTHER "sales Manager" (named Mike as well) came in and told us that they will not be selling us the car anymore and lead us out of the dealership. We were confused and embarrassed with little explanation provided. This was one of the most disrespectful and embarrassing experiences my wife and I have ever been through. I honestly would hate for anyone else to have such an awful experience! I would truly encourage Lexus to re-evaluate their relationship with this company. It is sad to see the people at this dealer tarnish the brand! I strongly encourage anyone thinking about going to Lexus of Tampa bay to really think TWICE! Trust me, stay clear of these people! More

My husband and I went in to purchase a used Lexus. We have documented financing in place and specifically told them that when we started the paperwork. Daivd Koehler from the financing department said that was great. He proceeded to begin filling out the papework. Over an hour later he returns and tells my husband that we have to fill out a financing application with Lexus as well. My husband asks why and he tells him in a condescending manner that it is standard procedure. My husband even got out bank manager on the phone to talk to David and asked why he needed it. He could not give a valid answer. However, his motto was take it or leave it. We thought we wanted the car so my husband proceeded to fill out the mountain of paperwork. Two hours later we are still in the office having to check over paperwork so they are not scamming us into signing up for their financing. We will be returning the car. It is a nice car but I cannot in good conscience give my money to this dealership. David and the manager Chris Grady are in my opinion are using unethical business practices to try and drum up business for their financing. More
Worst customer service I had my lexus serviced and when I picked it up I got my keys and was told the car was parked outside. I got in and my battery was completely dead, th I had my lexus serviced and when I picked it up I got my keys and was told the car was parked outside. I got in and my battery was completely dead, there is no way they wouldn't have known this. I had a difficult time finding anyone to help, asked several people for a jump including the parts manager who said he could sell me a battery but he couldn't install it. I finally got a jump and left. This happened about a year ago, I didn't complain at the time because the dealer has me on a list for a recall, and I didn't want to risk being moved further down. Considering I have been on the list over 2 years I don't think it's going to happen anyway. I would never do business with autonation or buy another lexus again. More
Finance Dept lacks integrity I went in to look at a used IS250 which I ended up buying. I don't have too big of a complaint with the sales department. My beef is with the financ I went in to look at a used IS250 which I ended up buying. I don't have too big of a complaint with the sales department. My beef is with the finance department. After purchasing the vehicle, I went home and starting looking up some information. (kind of backwards, I know, but I really didn't expect to buy a car that day). After a little research, I realized the rate given to me by the dealership was higher than I could have gotten elsewhere. So I contacted them to ask if the paperwork was already sent to the lender and if I could obtain my own financing and bring them the check. I spoke to the Finance Manager, Ross, who told me multiple lies to get me to not refinance. The problem was that I had already spoken to other sources and was armed with information for me to know he was lying. I contacted the GM, Chris, and told him my story. He seemed uninterested that his finance manager was lying to customers. I expected better service and more integrity at a Lexus dealer than what you get from a buy-here-pay-here lot but that is not the case with this dealership. More

We had to be Towed to Lexus of Tampa Bay unfortunately after the service Dept. closed. We were Unable to get a loaner car. Jeremy a salesman was there and listened to our problem and took the time to investigate and discovered the cause of the problem. Simple, but it amazingly solved our dilemma! He went the extra mile! He explained he was not a mechanic but thought we were good to go and we were! The receptionist and another young woman all offered anything they could do to help us and their kindness will also be long remembered! Thank you Jeremy and staff at Lexus of Tampa Bay!! More

I had my heart set on an RC350F Sport for my next Lexus. I did my home work and "built" the car that I wanted. 2017 RC350 F Sport, in Atomic Silver, Black Nu-Luxe with Silver Performance Trim, Navigation, Moonroof, and Park Assist. I actually, sent it to the dealer, and Art sent me back quotes on two cars that I didn't want. One was for a 2016 and the other was for a car that was not the right color. It was clear that they were trying to sell me cars that they had on the lot. I sent a note off to the GM, Chris Grady, explaining the situation and he didn't respond. I get a note from General Sales Manager, Michael Lee, who in turn sends me a third quote for a lower end RC Turbo (another car on their lot) that I didn't ask for. I called Chris Grady, and he said he would look into it and do what he can, and then he disappeared again. I went back and forth with Michael Lee via email, and he continued to not respond to my very clear requests, and like, Grady, went weeks without getting back to me on outstanding issues. Nobody showed any interest in picking up the phone and talking this through to a good end. It was apparent to me that getting the car I wanted was too much work for me. It wasn't about price. It was about ease of delivery for them. It's hard to assess their talent, since they chose not to engage me directly. I will tell you that I found Chris at best disinterested, and Michael Lee was an arrogant pompous xxx that unfortunately exemplifies all that is bad in cars salesmen. More More
Worst company I've ever worked with, hands down This unethical dealership is the absolute worst company I've ever worked with. Promised information was never provided and they sold a car that I had This unethical dealership is the absolute worst company I've ever worked with. Promised information was never provided and they sold a car that I had placed on hold with a deposit and planned to purchase. Jeremy, the preowned sales manager, is extremely rude. No follow up, no response, and very, very offensive. May have a Lexus flag, but be warned that this is a shady dealership that does not stand behind their clients. More
Routine Service Today I realized why I didn't return to Lexus of Tampa Bay for the past two and a half years. The service time was atrocious. I was told that my wait Today I realized why I didn't return to Lexus of Tampa Bay for the past two and a half years. The service time was atrocious. I was told that my wait time would be an hour. One hour later I was told that it would be another hour. At almost four hours after my appointment time, the car was ready. I used to take my car to Toyota of Tampa Bay but since my long term service manager left, I thought I would return to the regular dealership. Last time I will be going back. There is no regard for the time of the clientele. The service manager was nice but didn't seem efficient or effective. More
Worst Car Buying Attempt Ever We went looking for a new car on May 18th and Lexus was one of our first stops. We had limited time. We explained that we were only beginning to look that day and needed to test drive and get numbers. We said exactly what we were looking for in a new car. After 1 1/2 hours of meeting people who kept coming to say hello we went out to the car. The sales guy drove "to a safe place to test it" with me in the back seat because my husband couldn't fit there. After a mile I said "let's go back, I've seen enough". It took another 1/2 hour as well as the threat of walking to get some numbers. The finance guy made a rude noise at my suggestion that we leave and they email the numbers if they needed to keep discussing it together. One week later we secured our new Lexus at Lexus of Sarasota! PS My husband says there is no need to belabor it....they were just awful. More
