Buyer Beware: 160-Point Inspection Failure; Ethics I purchased a CERTIFIED Pre-Owned Lexus from Lexus of Pembroke Pines only to find out 6 months later it was in a collision prior to my purchase. Ther I purchased a CERTIFIED Pre-Owned Lexus from Lexus of Pembroke Pines only to find out 6 months later it was in a collision prior to my purchase. There was undisclosed, not repaired damage to the car! I was told the damage is not on the Carfax report so it is like it never happened. Talk about unethical! I have no idea what the extent of the true damage is. Is the vehicle even safe? Let me start by saying 2 days after the purchase of my NX 200T F-Type, it was back at the dealership because of a bad hub-bearing. My wheel would have fallen off! 4 weeks later, I needed a new tire at the exact same position of the bad hub-bearing. 2 wheel alignments within 4 weeks is unheard of! Explaining this to management, I was told "I do not want to talk about safety." I was involved in a minor accident and brought my Lexus to Lexus of Pembroke Pines where I purchased the vehicle. The collision manager, Eddy, who is in charge of the repairs of my car agrees that the damages where prior to my purchase. The Lead Collision Manager, Roy, agrees that the damages were prior to my purchase. It is evident in the rust and the damages itself. I was told not to worry, Lexus will make this right. Have they? Absolutely not. I have been told many different stories by different employees at Lexus of Pembroke Pines from they will fix the vehicle (I still have not received anything in writing as to the damages), I will have an even swap trade out, and I was even told I would be swapped out with a new car! I have been contacting everyone at the dealership, the Sales Manager Sam, the General Manager Vladimir, the Collision Manager Roy, only to have no return calls. I do have to say, Dorothy, the General Manager's assistant has called me back and has been very kind. I could have purchased the same vehicle from CarMax at a lower cost. Why didn't I do that? I purchased my previously owned Lexus at Lexus of Pembroke Pines for the feeling of safety in a previously owned vehicle for my 3 small children in the vehicle I drive them in daily. For the integrity of the 160-Point Inspection. For the brand. For the warranty. For the customer service. For the quality. More
