I went to the dealership because I received a letter stating that they were interested in purchasing my 2009 Lexus RX350 for around $29, 700, depending on the condition. It stated that I wouldn't even have to purchase a car. So even though I think most advertising is just a "get you into the door" kind of thing, I thought I'd try it because I do want to sell my car. I don't want another Lexus so the salesman that took care of me was not too thrilled. Well, after being told to wait and see what they can do, the salesman went into the back to "talk to the manager". I thought you only got that when you were buying a car! I guess this dealership hasn't progressed much at all. All the time my car was sitting right out front where I could see it. I saw the salesman take a 5 minute look at it, not even take it out for a drive and that was it. After a half an hour wait, I was getting quite perturbed. I finally asked the receptionist to get the salesman. He came out and gave me such a low ball offer, saying that it's close to needing new tires $800; 30,000mi service $500; a small scratch on the back bumper $; close to needing new brakes $ ....you see where this is going. My car is owned by my husband's company who has an in house mechanic so I know my car got more service than most people's. My oil was even changed every 3,000 miles. He just assumed all these things were going to need fixing so that he could warrant the low price. It was just such poor customer relations that I for sure, won't be back to purchase another car from this dealership. More
I recommend Lexus of Merrillville because the people who work there are knowledgeable amd more importantly personable . Which was very important to me, coming from a Ford dealership, before I would become s work there are knowledgeable amd more importantly personable . Which was very important to me, coming from a Ford dealership, before I would become so mad at how they treat you! And they put you in there waiting room with really bad service. Glad to be done with the ford dealer. Mark Lovejoy was extremely patient with me and answered all my questions honestly! Also, Willie Haddad helped thru the buying process and he lightened my mood while I was extremely stressed with humor. I was pleasantly surprised as to how friendly they all make you feel! Mark Lovejoy is a wonderful and thoughtful salesman, who has a customer for life! Willie has helped with other stuff on my car and always is so nice to me. Great place to buy a vehicle! Lisa who answers the phones is awesome! And Todd in service always answers and takes his time with all of my "stupid questions!" It truly is nice to know that there is a honest car dealership still out there! More
I would not recommend anyone to go this dealership. I called in to work out the price 33,200 out the door for 2007 Mercedes Benz Gl 470. I get to the dealership and find out car was not properly maintained. It had a nail in the tire. The wheel alignment was not done and it seems dealership didn’t care about the car. We had worked price with dealership prior not only did they not honor the price. They had only one key. On the car it wrote that car had a 2 year powertrain warranty came with car but after trying starting to fill out the paperwork they stated that car has no warranty. This has to be most fraud dealership. Their service manager Walli Hadad is crook. The sale person lies to pull you into the dealership. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Please stay way. This dealership sale people are crooks. More
We have always been impressed with the service department when we brought our car in to be seviced in the past. Larry Giannini gives that department his upmost attention and I feel very comfortable leaving when we brought our car in to be seviced in the past. Sue workded with us in finding the car we had in mind and explained everything about the car that may have been new to us. Sue also assured us she would be there for us if we had any further questions. John went over all of the businss and warranty issues that was involved in purchasing a new car, which was very involved, and he covered everything very thoroughly. We felt very comfortable when we left the dealership with the purchase of our new car. More

Over the years Todd and Larry hav given me service that simply spoiled me with all my first lexus sevice visits. Free car washes and free honest pricing with ideas on how to save money on many auto repairs. I spent more yet I get more service and more at trade in. My first one has 132k miles. I just cannot seem to give it it up. More
We purchased a used Toyota Sienna from the internet and drove from Iowa (5 hrs away!!) to pick up the car. After getting the car home we realized the rear of the van was not getting air from the heater to drove from Iowa (5 hrs away!!) to pick up the car. After getting the car home we realized the rear of the van was not getting air from the heater to it due to damage from the spare tire underneath. We had an agreement with Willie that LEXUS OF MERRILLVILLE would cover the repair costs as long as we took the vehicle to a certified Toyota dealership, which we did. There was a long delay in us getting the check but Willie kept his word and made sure the check came thru. I commend the dealership for agreeing to pay for damage on a used vehicle when most dealerships would have said "sorry, sold as is" and left it at that. The only knock I have is the persistance of the guy pushing the extended warranty on us before we could get out of there... but thats his job. I would recommend Lexus of Merillville and Willie to purchasers locally and out of town. More
