Dealer found a simple solution to my auto trunk problem and did not charge me anything. However, when the dealer's service department checked my car during their routine maintenance check, they told me tha and did not charge me anything. However, when the dealer's service department checked my car during their routine maintenance check, they told me that my TMPS was broken, the TMPS light came on, and it would cost over $500 to replace all four monitors. The problem with this report is that the TMPS was working the morning I dropped off my car with the dealer, and there was no TMPS light lit. How can all 4 TMPS monitors fail just because I asked the dealer to put air in the tires when I brought it in? I knew that the tires needed air because the TMPS told me so. I did not have the dealer replace the TMPS. Instead, I took the car to Discount Tires, and they checked the TMPS and said the monitors were working! I took it home and saved over $500 no thanks to the Lexus dealer's service department. I wrote the Lexus service manager who handled this job over two weeks ago but have not heard back from him. He usually responded the same day to my inquiries, but not this time. More
