After purchasing a vehicle from them, it took approximately two months and repeated phone calls to finally get our registration. We were constantly given excuses and had to keep chasing them for something that should have been handled properly. We also purchased a $2,500 warranty after being told by Mike that it would cover everything. We later found out that was not the case. Based on what we were told when we purchased the warranty, we feel we were seriously misled. The vehicle was also supposedly inspected before we purchased it, yet we discovered that the lower ball joints are bad. This raises serious questions for us about how the vehicle passed state inspection in that condition. Now we are being forced to come out of our own pockets to pay for repairs that, in our opinion, should have been addressed before the vehicle was passed for inspection and sold to us. Communication with this dealership has been terrible. Phone calls were repeatedly not returned, and we eventually found ourselves calling from different phone numbers just to get someone to answer. Even then, we continued receiving excuses instead of actual solutions. We also dealt with Shaw, the new manager, and unfortunately our experience did not improve. We were looking for answers and accountability, but instead felt like we were getting the runaround. At this point, we have reached out to the Virginia State Police regarding our concerns, and we understand that the matter is going to be investigated. We have also raised concerns about temporary tags that we believe may be being issued improperly, which we feel should be looked into by the appropriate authorities. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Leesport Auto Imports: DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Have the vehicle independently inspected by your own trusted mechanic before signing anything. Read every warranty document carefully and make sure you understand exactly what is and isn't covered. Don't rely solely on what you're told verbally. Based on our experience, we would never purchase another vehicle from this dealership again. The way this situation has been handled has completely destroyed our trust in the dealership. Since that transition, trying to get basic questions answered about the vehicle has been an incredibly frustrating week-long ordeal. On the morning of Wednesday, July 29, I spoke with Mike and made a clear offer on the vehicle, contingent on it passing a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) that I explicitly stated I would pay for entirely. At that time, your website clearly displayed three distinct price tiers for the vehicle: Market, Internet, and a Coupon price. The coupon price listed was $10,998, which formed the basis of my offer. Mike informed me that he would look into the $10k offer and reach out regarding the coordination of the PPI. Following that call, I received zero response or follow-up from Mike for the remainder of Wednesday or Thursday. Today, Friday, July 31, I called your dealership five separate times throughout the morning. Each time, I was told Mike was unavailable, and he failed to return a single call. When I called back this afternoon, I explained the ongoing situation to the gentleman who answered the phone. Rather than addressing the complete lack of communication, he immediately and dismissively stated that the car is listed for just over $12,000 on the site, and that document fees would bring the total to over $13,000. He showed absolute disregard for the fact that your website actively displayed a coupon price roughly $2,000 lower—a page which I successfully printed out and hold physical proof of. More
