I can only speak to my buying experience which was excellent, and was with Phil Houpt. I shopped with several other dealers in the SLC area, and Phil was by far the most professional, detail-oriented, and enabling sales rep we came across. He was also the least pushy and invasive. As an example of his "customer-first" attitude, Phil showed us vehicles in inventory, but then noticed a few were missing a key option that had the potential to devalue resale. Given my ignorance on the myriad options available, I most certainly would have missed this. Eventually, with Phil's help on understanding the options available, I was able to compile a "wish list" vehicle which, after an extensive search, he found for me at a reasonable price . The Ford F150 was originally our third choice amongst the competition, but leaped to the front of the pack due to the top-notch reviews, the combination of Costco buying program (highly recommended) and Ford rebate, and Phil. Simply put, Phil was a very positive part of our buying experience, providing trusted advisory throughout. More
Lied to, cheated and poor service I was lied to by their employee regarding the extended warranty they sold me. I specifically asked what it would cover and was told it was the same as I was lied to by their employee regarding the extended warranty they sold me. I specifically asked what it would cover and was told it was the same as factory.. My specific questions were answered with untrue statements. The roadside assistance I purchased left me stranded when my vehicle would not start. Although its not the dealers fault, the Ford Transit Connect I purchased is a piece of junk. Poor quality, poor construction (body parts falling off which is not covered by the extended warranty) and horrible customer surface with a week or more delay before work is done. Service dept requests/follow thru I asked service department to rotate my tires front driver to rear passenger, front passenger to rear driver. The service representative stated that they have done so when I questioned. And that wasn't true. I marked my tires to see if they follow through my request. And they did not. I also feel that the technicians who work with the service writers, spend a lot of time talking, and don't seem to take their job seriously More

Prior to entering this dealership, my vehicle had broken down twice in less than 24 hours. Before the last and final breakdown, my vehicle experienced power loss in the middle of the interstate on 3 separate occasions and it was scary as heck. I laughed and cried because I couldn't believe this would be happening to me surrounded by trucks at 80 MPH. My original intent was to drive to California to visit family I hadn't seen since Christmas and I had some time off work I wanted to take advantage of. I knew I needed to do something but didnt know what and now I was held up in beautiful Salt Lake City. Because of my personal driving experience driving the Focus I had purchased at another dealer, I did not want to get back into this vehicle even if it was completely fixed and ready to go; It was hard to let go of the ordeal I experienced. With this in mind, I inquired about purchasing a new vehicle as now safety was my ultimate concern for my own personal comfort. Tyler Shupe, laid it all down for me. He was direct yet personable and sat with me to explain things I did not fully understand. It was my first ever new vehicle purchase and Tyler had the patience and social perceptiveness to see what I needed and wanted in a Focus. My only regret was that I did not roll into this dealership under better circumstances sooner. But on the flip side, had my vehicle not broken down I would not have met Tyler and everyone who assisted me at the dealership. This is a very tough situation for me and one that I'll remember for a long time. A lot of lessons were learned and I am very excited and happy that one of them is that people like Tyler exist and I could not have come out with a new vehicle without his help. buying the f150 I bought a brand new F150 with the help of Paul Montano. Overall buying experience with Paul was good, Paul had taken the time to learn the F150 and was very good at sharing his knowledge of the truck. So.. Very happy with Paul! My problems began after I drove my new truck off the lot, I noticed something was wrong immediately, I called for service department next morning and I got someone that told me we don't do loaner cars so good luck. I then talked with the manager of sales and he got me into a ford focus loaner for the night. Next morning service manager calls to say congrats on the new truck but had no Idea it was in the shop. When I told her this for focus wasn't going to cut it if they were going to have my truck any longer, she told me I should be glad to have it as they don't normally do loaner cars. I finally got a loaner truck out of her after 4 more nasty phone calls. The service department kept my truck for 5 days after finding a major manufacturing error, they took the time to go through the whole truck so that I wouldn't have more issues. Overall satisfaction with the service department, Very Happy. But this is when the real problem started. Nick Meunier is the sale manager and he called saying I know you had a couple of minor problems but I know my team went above and beyond to correct these issues so we need a perfect customer survey from you. I called him back and asked him to call me so we could discuss this perfect survey, he would not call me. It took me 3 times to get a hold of him, when i did I explained the "minor problem" and the following customer service and asked hime if you would buy a for again after that experience, and his answer was "well, uhm, you see, well maybe". Not professional. He then asked me for a perfect survey and told me that this would effect his bonus and maybe his job. I told him that he needed to stand behind the product they sold me and give me an extended warranty on the truck. He told me no with no thought. he then broke down crying to me on the phone about how this would effect his job and he had done everything he could to make things right. And went as far as to tell me that he had sold me the truck at an extremely discounted price "I GOT WHAT I PAYED FOR". I followed this conversation up with the general manager of the dealership, Jason Rowland, who did not think that Mike Meunier was out of line. But Jason did agree to an extended warranty only after I completed a perfect survey. He showed that he did not trust me on the survey and would not put it in writing that I would get the warranty if I gave them a perfect survey. Jason is the only person through the entire buying experience that seemed concerned if I every bought another ford or not. MY TWO BIGGEST THINGS HERE WHERE "I GOT WHAT I PAYED FOR" AND I bought two brand new cars in less than 7 days, a volkswagen and a ford, only ford treated me like they don't want me as a return customer. More
