Great Service Dept. & Team! Kin in Service has always been courteous, honest & gotten back to us in a timely manner re: our LR4. He is friendly & very personable! My only com Kin in Service has always been courteous, honest & gotten back to us in a timely manner re: our LR4. He is friendly & very personable! My only complaint (which is not a reflection of him) is that the dealership should have more loaner vehicles available versus using Enterprise Car Rental. More

He goes above and beyond for his clients. I only bring my Range Rovers to Kin, because I know he's going to treat them as though they're his. I wish he also took my Porshe and Ferrari!!!! Maybe one day... Haley is another outstanding service professional! She knows her vehicles, and works just as hard! These two individuals find answers instead of giving excuses. They remind me of what Harvard wouldn't let us forget. "Only excellence will do." These two deserve "RAISES" Sincerely, Yul More
Kin is the best service manager Every time I have to get my car serviced at Fred Lavery for my Range Rover, the service managet, Kin treats me so wonderfully. He is very informative Every time I have to get my car serviced at Fred Lavery for my Range Rover, the service managet, Kin treats me so wonderfully. He is very informative about what it will take to fix the problem and he always gets me a car to use while my car is being repaired. The car he provides is a nice car of equal value to my own. He makes getting your car repaired a good experience instead of a dreaded inconvenience. More
I went in for a front end brake job on my 2003 Range Rover and left $1100 in the hole and with a VERY broken truck. My truck was not in my possession for 6 1/2 days! It took them 4 days to complete the Rover and left $1100 in the hole and with a VERY broken truck. My truck was not in my possession for 6 1/2 days! It took them 4 days to complete the standard brake job, and an additional 2 days to attempt to explain why when I went to pick it up on day 4 I couldn't even drive it out of their parking lot due to mechanical failures! I now have no 4x4, my truck keeps tripping into "safe mode", and I can't take it over 50 mph! They kept trying to tell me this was already happening to my truck and that I need to fix it, but I dropped it off with them with NO service engine lights, NO messages in the message center, and NO lit icons signifying issues. It's amazing to me how a truck can sit in a dealership service center for 6 1/2 days and magically get such enormous mechanical and electrical issues. UNBELIEVABLE! They are dishonest and they are swindlers and are making no attempt to repair the damage they created. I have recently sent complaints into Land Rover corporate, as well as the Better Business Bureau. More
I took my range rover in for service because the suspension kept lowering overnight. They told me it was the right front spring. I paid $1440 to get it fixed. After sitting at the dealer for 2 weeks suspension kept lowering overnight. They told me it was the right front spring. I paid $1440 to get it fixed. After sitting at the dealer for 2 weeks i finally got it back, and they told me they only cover the rental for 4 days. They never call you and you have to call them for check ups. my truck still did the same thing. They tried to tell me it needed to be recalibrated so they kept it for another 2 days, still leaving me to keep paying for the rental. The truck still did the same thing and was never fixed. I took my truck to land rover Utica and they fixed the air tank as the problem. Took 2 hours. Stay away from Lavery! More
I own both a Porsche and a Range Rover, so I've had dealings regarding both cars. Let me first state that my balcony literally faces this dealership accross the street from me on Woodward. What I can dealings regarding both cars. Let me first state that my balcony literally faces this dealership accross the street from me on Woodward. What I can say is now, when I need service done on either car, I'll actually go wayyy out of my way to either Land Rover in Farmington Hills or the Porsche dealer just down the street from them. Among my complaints: 1. They never return voice mail messages. 2. They never call you when they are supposed to. If they say "I'll call you at 4 to let you know whether or not your car will be ready" then you can pretty much say its 50-50 that you'll even get a call back that day! 3. Even when you leave a message for a manager to complain, its hard to get a call back. 4. They are way overpriced. I called their Parts Dept. and asked how much a key for my Range Rover costs. The guy quoted me about $345. When I said "oh really, the parts dept. at Land Rover Farm Hills has it for about a hundred less!" his response was "okay fine I'll match that"....I mean...xxx!? All in all, just bad service...I'm talking mostly in their parts and Service dept. I really hate driving out of my way so far, but its basically a case where for the life of me I can't justify giving these people a chance to even change my oil. They're pretty friendly though...they just don't have a clue to what they're doing. More
I had continual repair problems with land rover over a period of one and half years. I bought the car new and always serviced at the dealer. F.L. was going through many service and repair personal, eac period of one and half years. I bought the car new and always serviced at the dealer. F.L. was going through many service and repair personal, each time the car was brought in I was charged hundreds of dollars and the same problems persisted with different explanations. I was eventuality told i needed a valve job on a car with 35000 miles on it , a few months after that they told me i must replace engine at a cost of $15,000. My feeling was that Fred Lavery never found the true problem . At this point I contacted the Land Rover co after many months of reviews and phone calls I was told that my car was now out of warranty (40,000) when they determined i needed a new engine so I would have to take legal action, and they were not responsible. I have all of my receipts and complaint records I feel that Fred Lavery was less then honest and Land Rover was decieved and does not stand behind their products if they can get away with it. The car has been in storage and the latest mechanic feels it was a faulity oil pump all along. More
