He, and the financial officer, listened to every word and question I had the first time and went even further to help me find a new truck that fit what I was looking for and my budget.I did not go in looking for a new truck or a Ford, my object of desire happened to be a Dodge Ram and I had not seen one on their lot but given a few moments Mr Granning had a truck similar to one I had test driven at another dealership found at another of their dealerships and told me it would be there Monday for a test drive. In the meantime their financial officer had me approved in advance. The entire experience took a bit under 1 hr 15 minutes I think maybe less. My case could not have been easy after being at a dealership earlier in the day and patiently waiting 2 1/2 hrs for an approval on what I had thought was my dream truck. I don't have bad credit but I do not have an extensive credit history seemed to be the problem there, nevermind that it was a Saturday afternoon . I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get his/herself a new or used truck to give the folks here 1 hr of their time to see for themselves. You won't regret it.. It could not have been more fortuitous that I had stopped in on accident.. More

Finally done truck shopping My husband and I have been looking for a new truck for a long time... I mean a looooong time, on and off again for two years. We went to all the deale My husband and I have been looking for a new truck for a long time... I mean a looooong time, on and off again for two years. We went to all the dealers around the lansing area and we looked online through craigslist and even dealers outside of the lansing area. Now mind you I am a wife whom is happily married to an annoyingly indecisive man who claims he needs a truck that can haul all his toys. But come on, two years of searching for a truck? That's ridiculous! So needless to say that when I walked into LaFontaine Ford in Lansing I was a bit skeptical of the outcome of the trip. Jerry met us with a smile, let us test drive all the trucks we wanted, then he gave us each a cup of coffee to warm up with. Oh, did I mention that it was the coldest day in Michigan in years??? Man, I am one patient wife. Anyways, the wishy washy mind of my husband had its eye set on a blue ford truck of some sorts. Jerry, sitting at his desk, asked "What would it take for you to buy this truck today?" I let out a rather loud laugh and Jerry looked at me like I was crazed, which I was. Two freaking years of truck hunting will do that to a woman. He calmly looked at me and asked, "What?" I decided to be brutally honest and state my thoughts, "Well, fifteen years I have been with this man and he has never been one to make a decision on a wim. If he walked out of here today with buying that truck, well, I wouldn't even know who I was married to anymore." My husband's response, you might ask? He stated, "She's right." And I then sat there like the proud wife I am because I'm married to a husband that knows how important it is to tell the wife she is right whenever possible. Now as I write this review I am left to wonder, who did I marry ten years ago? Who is this man driving a blue ford truck? No, it can't be my husband. And how is it that I find the time to write a review when I have never wrote a review before? Could it really be that after two years of searching high and low for a freaking truck that our search is truly over and I have extra time on my hands to twiddle my thumbs? I now can say in my crazed laughter filled voice "Yes I do! The search is finally over! Thank you Jerry!" And thank you to all the staff at LaFontaine Ford for the great service and for washing my vehicle too before I left my hubby behind to drive his new vehicle home. More

He didn't mind going over every part of both used cars we were looking into. Chad sat with us for hours as we worked on financing and getting insurance together. We were able to drive off the lot with everything in place because of all his hard work. We would send anyone we know to work with Chad on getting into a new vehicle! Thanks so much, Chad! I only had a few requirements in what I wanted and Sam was very patient in showing me all that was available. The incredible thing is when I settled on options, cab size, and paint they had two identical trucks in stock. When I took delivery Sam spent another hour going over everything including how to use the Synch system. It was a great experience and when I need another vehicle Sam will be my first call. More

Absolutely Great Service I have read some negative reviews and my experience was the opposite. I have historically been very disappointed with the Lincoln/Ford dealer service I have read some negative reviews and my experience was the opposite. I have historically been very disappointed with the Lincoln/Ford dealer service departments in the greater Lansing area. I took our Lincoln, which was not purchased at La Fontaine, in for service. Some was warranty work and some was out of pocket for me (for maintenance items). I found the staff, including Andrew Burgett, to be attentive, helpful, and always courteous. I was kept updated on the progress of my vehicle and the bill was detailed and fair. I am generally a very picky customer, but could find no flaws in the work performed or the condition of my vehicle when it was returned to me. I also had a very specific technical question about my AWD PTU (Power Transfer Unit). I decided to just try to reach the service manager, Keith Slaught, directly. I called the main line at the dealership and asked for Keith, expecting to get voice mail or redirected to a service adviser. To my surprise and delight, Keith answered the phone (this would be unheard of at the other dealerships I had dealt with before LaFontaine). Keith spent, literally, 20 minutes of the phone with me answering my questions, explaining the component, and making recommendations to me. I never felt rushed by him and he never pressured me to perform unnecessary service. I would recommend the LaFontaine service department to my family and friends, which is a testament to my confidence in their work, honesty, and customer service. I would not let some of the negative reviews here dissuade you from trying LaFontaine. There is usually much more to the story than presented. Nobody likes paying for repairs. And, if you are not knowledgeable with respect to car care, it can be scary and you can feel taken advantage of, even if that is not really the case. LaFontaine has earned a customer in me through their exemplary service. I would recommend that if you are reading this and are looking for a reliable and fair Ford service department, that you simply visit the LaFontaine service department and speak with the service manager before passing judgment based on some online negative reviews. I am confident that LaFontaine will win your trust if given the opportunity! More

He responded to all my calls and emails promptly and was able to help me get the deal and car I wanted. I'm headed back to get a new lease for my wife. On a separate note, you can't beat the price on an oil change! Under $15 and at a dealership! That way you know it's done right. A friendly group of people.
