I ordered an SUV and repeatedly contacted the representative (Kevin) to inquire about the order's status. I was given many excuses as to the status of the order. After six months, it turned out Kevin never placed the order. Kevin's solution was to put me at the bottom of the list so that I could wait another six months. I would strongly suggest working with another dealership when ordering a Ford vehicle. The problem I had was the level of dishonesty. More
I was in Frankenmuth visiting my parents from Tennessee on Thanksgiving and my 2017 Lincoln MKC broke down, had to have it towed cause it was leaking coolant. They got working on it on Friday and found out on Thanksgiving and my 2017 Lincoln MKC broke down, had to have it towed cause it was leaking coolant. They got working on it on Friday and found out I need a water pump which they had to order. They got the pump Monday and worked very hard to get done for me on Monday afternoon to head back to Tennessee. I can't say enough thanks to the service writer Marion, as well as the technician for getting it in and worked on, so I could get on the road to work and home. I will make sure I let everyone know how great they were to me. Thanks. More
I bought a 2004 Chevy Monte from them. Very bad experience. It took them a month the get the title cleared from the previous owner. They told me the car was ready to pick up, when i got to the deal experience. It took them a month the get the title cleared from the previous owner. They told me the car was ready to pick up, when i got to the dealership I was told the car was not ready and that they still did not have a title for the car. when I finely did get the car I was told the car had been safety inspected and cleaned. I did my own inspection of the car and found the brakes were worn down to nothing and it had a bad wheel bearing also it was a gallon low on coolant. I also found a bunch of trash under the seats. For a place that claims to be "the home of the family deal" they are a joke. I would not ever go back to this dealer. More

I bought a 2020 Ford Explorer from Lafontaine in Birch Run in May during the pandemic. I was told it was a demo vehicle and that it just has a few miles on it and that I would get a discount, they still c Run in May during the pandemic. I was told it was a demo vehicle and that it just has a few miles on it and that I would get a discount, they still charged me full price, the vehicle has had transmission failure since 2 months into owning it, it has dumped transmission fluid 2 times and has been in for repair 5 different times, my first time repairing it was with them after that I would NEVER take another vehicle to their service department. Not only did we have a bad experience with Bill (don’t even know how this person still even works there!) the service manager was very rude and attacking! He got my repairs done in one day but they rushed the repair it was never done right and had to take it to a different Ford dealership! I am still trying to see about a buy back on this LEMON! Ford has been very good at saying no! They denied my buyback 3 times for various reasons one of them being the start date of the warranty which started before I ever even owned the car and I was under the understanding I was the first owner I was buying a brand new car!! Ford made me aware that the dealership started the warranty in order to use the warranty to make a repair, without ever mentioning both of things to me, And of course the dealership won’t return any of my calls, don’t buy a car from Lafontaine FORD and especially don’t buy a 2020 Ford Explorer! An expensive tow bill and an extremely high dealership bill to get us on the road LaFontine will not even return my calls to let me know why nothing is being covered. Over $5000.00 worth of money out of my pocket plus $23,000 for a Explorer that my wife is afraid to drive. Totally will not say positive things about them and maybe time to start driving a GM. The only reason they are getting stars is because you have to give at least one. More
Broken car after market warrenty drained. Long story short I took a 2008 Edge to have slipping transmission looked at. Replaced tranny (2k fix), and car was still making same lurching problem. They then saw that water pump had failed and caused timing chain to skip a notch 3K fix. Fast forward a month and while driving home from work car went into limp mode and engine was knocking. I returned car again to only be told that the totaled engine was from another part they didnt work on (apart from taking apart the motor to fix timing chain) and that would be a large cost just to look into it. They took an aftermarket warrenty and drained the max amount dry and never fixed. NO HELP. Said it was not their fault. Stormed out pissed and will never return. More
Stay away I have had nothing but trouble with this dealership! I bought a truck from them in April after chasing it from lot to lot because they said it was sol I have had nothing but trouble with this dealership! November I contacted the Lansing dealership to purchase a truck I wanted. Everything was done but signatures. I had put insurance on it and it was suppose to be delivered. I got a text that said truck was sold to someone else. They sold it after I had already told them I was buying it and had everything arranged. Reason was someone drove into the lot and wanted it. I live 4 hours away but I’m sure glad I didn’t drive down to pick up my truck because it wouldn’t have been there. This morning I found a truck at the birch run dealership I wanted. Hesitant I called and spoke to a sales person. I explained my last experienced and asked him to make sure it’s not sold and still there. He checked and told me it was still on the lot and no it wasn’t sold. I contacted my bank and got everything set. Sales person was emailing me paperwork and they were looking for a driver for delivery. Again I made my intentions clear. The truck was mine. Simple right? Well I got a phone call and he was actually laughing. Said the truck had been sold that morning. Well my first phone call to tell him I wanted the truck was 15 minutes after they opened and he assured me then it wasn’t sold!!!!!!! I will NEVER do business with that dealership again! They are super shady people and their customer service is horrible! I am so disgusted with this dealership!!!! Don’t buy anything from this dealership because it’s not yours until it’s parked in front of your house and even then I would be worried! More

I purchased the vehicle with the understanding that a area missing paint on the driver's side rear wheel wheel would be painted. I also pointed out rust bubbles on the passengers side rear wheel well. I would purchase this vehicle if both were repaired. The dealer wrote up a we owe sheet in the contract. Here it is late October and the vehicle was never repaired properly. I myself and my daughter made numerous phone calls and asked when we did talk to a live person for a callback and or text. Of the at least 20 calls may e more was only replied once. I did talk to the general manager name of Josh. He himself promised follow through and it never happened. They did ouck up the vehicle and had it for nearly 3 weeks. They did supply a rental car, but when they delivered the escape back they didn't leave the vehicles keys. My daughter had to call them and they drove back with the keys. The drivers side rear well was repaired properly but the passengers side hadn't been touched. In my 62 years I have never given a bad review but Wow this dealer deserves it. I feel this segment should be used in a training seminar on how. not to treat a customer. Sincerely Gerard Batrow More
