Very poor customer service. Sales people don't tell the tru I worked with Dorian Gordon. Started out very nice. Couldn't do enough for me. Then I said I wanted to look at other vehicles instead of the piece I worked with Dorian Gordon. Started out very nice. Couldn't do enough for me. Then I said I wanted to look at other vehicles instead of the piece of crap they were trying to sell me. He became rude, and not nice. Then they said they would have vehicles for me to test drive this morning. THEY HAD NOTHING! Total waste of my time. I have found this to be true of both Lafontaine dealerships in the Lansing area. Don't trust them and will never buy from them. More
Bad xxx service My car was in a small accident about two weeks ago and i took my car to Lafontaine because that is where I purchased the vehicle. Both of my headlights where working when i dropped my car off fro them to fix it. Once I picked my car up I didn't notice until the next night that neither of my headlights work. So I wrote them and email and said I will bring it back in that Monday. Long story short they tried to tell me that both my headlights blew out when I had just purchased one new headlight about a month prior my car getting side swiped. They just didn't want to fix it because they know they did something to blow my headlight out. Its very rare that both your headlight blow out at the same time. So from here on out I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO LAFONTAINE on Pennsylvania. More
New car nice, but put old tires on it . Purchased a car with 30 miles on it, tires needed to be replaced at 16,000 miles. When I talked to the dealership about it they asked the standard . When I talked to the dealership about it they asked the standard questions, like had been an accident, do I drive on country roads, etc. I only drive to and from work and occasionally out of town, I am meticulous about my cars, as we also have a BMW and an Acura in the family. The service manager then proceeded to tell me I really didn’t get the tires rotated or balanced and offered me no deal on new tires. I won’t be returning. More

False Information Went to pick up our new car last winter. We never did hear anything and when I called and inquired about it, I was told there was no such thing as a rep that came in and would install navigation on our vehicle. I explained to them that the sales manager at the time promised us that. I was basically called a liar, and was told that it was NOT going to happen. Maybe not a big deal, however you can bet I will never purchase an auto from this dealership again. A man is only as good as his word, and his word was worthless. And new sales manager was very obnoxious and refused to honor what the past manager had told us. The 2nd manager was Drew, and I would certainly stay clear of him and this dealership. More
We could have Died! Jeep Wrangler JK 2008 had a bulletin that was sent out to owners WARNING OF FAULTY BRAKE LINES, they gave an extended 15 YEAR warranty on several par Jeep Wrangler JK 2008 had a bulletin that was sent out to owners WARNING OF FAULTY BRAKE LINES, they gave an extended 15 YEAR warranty on several parts, we contacted Lafontaine and had it serviced on July 7th. ONE of the WARRANTY'S were the brake lines and my husband flat out told them the lines were leaking front passenger side! They replaced the airbags, but TOLD my husband the Brake lines were fine even though they were given the extended warranty because of problems! So we went up to Houghton Lake for a vacation on the 18, on the 19th we hit the trails, about 5 miles in the brake light come on, my husband looked under the hood and had me tap on the brakes...and the fluid just poured out when I did so... we had very nerve racking 5 mile trip out of the woods, trying to dodge mud holes and all. We found a dealership called Nester, THEY SAID TO BRING IT IN ON THE 20TH, so we went back to the motel for the rest of the day. On the 20 we went to the dealership and they had been trying to contact us they didn't have the parts and couldn't get them for 2-4 days. The manager agreed to look at our JK BRAKE lines and told us he would find out about after market PARTS ...because we were lucky to be alive. He found the PARTS but wouldn't have them until the next day. We asked him what he thought about us driving it back to the motel...he just shook his head NO, we asked if anyone could give us a ride back we were from out of town and didn't know anyone!!!, he said he would find us a ride, then a sale person we had talked to came to the rescue and let us take a 2016 Jeep SPORT back to the motel day 4 we went back to the dealership,they had the parts,but it wouldn't be ready till around 4-5 pm. So TOM BOLICK the sale person told us to take the jeep sport and go have lunch and some fun. We did fall in love with the 2016 but left with our JK. LaFontaine, YOU destroyed our 5 day 4-night vacation, YOU deciding NOT to fix the warning part brake line COULD HAVE KILLED US! You need to do 100% better you owe us a 3,500 dollar vacation! xxxx, you should buy us that JEEP SPORT! I will never forget this awful experience that you caused, nor will I ever forget how the NESTER Dealership helped us out and treated us with total respect, how they felt bad for the situation LaFontaine put us in and how NESTER tried to make it better. We spent the better part of our vacation sitting in a motel room, the most frightening part is we could have DIED DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!?!?! WE COULD HAVE DIED and it would have been on your heads! Our vacation SUCKED as jeepers we had such plans for trails and off roading, it will now go down in HISTORY as the worst VACATION ever, and I will tell EVERYONE ABOUT THIS and how it was ruined by LaFontaine and HOW NESTER SAVED what they could! More

This dealer Discriminates against people with less than perfect credit!! Discrimination does NOT only apply to Color, Race and Sex, it applies to anyone who gets treated differently than someone else whos after the same result!!!!! More
