Horrible experience, avoid Kunes Country BUYER BEWARE We purchased a Chevy Suburban from Kunes Country in Sterling. The day we took it home, our check engine light came on. We took it back BUYER BEWARE We purchased a Chevy Suburban from Kunes Country in Sterling. The day we took it home, our check engine light came on. We took it back to Kunes within the week with our concerns. Our concerns were that the remote start wasn't working, we were getting a 'emissions error', which turned out to be the 'engine module and sensor', our rear wiper was inoperable and our cruise control didn't work. They supposedly checked the car out when we purchased and there were 'no known issues'. After they looked it over and found all our concerns were valid. We were told the engine emissions wasn't a safety issue so they weren't going to fix it unless we were going to pay out of pocket for it. They changed the brake switch, and the wiper arm and blade and charged us $150. So we took it home and about a week later the engine started slightly knocking.. then it just got worse and worse.. the engine was blown. AND. The wiper blade and arm clearly didn't fix the issue. All within 30 Days. We haven't even made our first loan payment yet at this point. (Jan) Our suburban went back to the dealership with a blown engine. They told us we were responsible for 1/2 of the engine work. We refused, they tried selling us a couple other suburbans, we refused. They ended up doing ANOTHER credit check without our permission, knocking my husbands credit down 100pts. THREE PLUS MONTHS LATER and 8 or so car loaners (we have three in car seats, which we had to move every single time) we finally got it back, and they didn't say what they did to fix it. Nor gave us any paperwork documenting what had been done. Still sounds like it has a slight knock or tick. Not to mention, the back wiper blade still doesn't work. We've had nothing but problems with this car and dealership. Fast Forward to November 2017 (still less than a year after purchase) the engine is blown again. They said the engine came with a small warranty but that warranty is already expired, so now I’m stuck (LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER PURCHASE) with 4 kids and no family vehicle. This is/was our only car. BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY FROM KUNES COUNTRY IN STERLING!!!!! More
