Well, we bought our 2021 Suburban in June, and the check engine light was on, but it would not stay on, and we were told the dealership would look at it and fix the issue prior to us buying it. It was there to be detailed over the weekend and we signed papers on a Monday. When we picked it up from being detailed the license plates were destroyed front and back from the pressure washer. The check engine light was off, we asked the salesman what was wrong, and we were told it was not on and that they wanted to wait until our "extended warranty" kicked in to address. We now know this is so the dealership would not have to front the costs. Long story short beginning of January the light came on and stayed on as we were told they could only check it if the light stayed on as it was sporadically on prior. They pick up my car, they do not leave me a driver...this is a Friday... my husband is called that afternoon and told we need brakes and rotors, and this was $800. We said no we will wait as we are already paying for tires to be rotated, oil change....and the diagnostic that the warranty didn't cover as well as the copay for the extended warranty. We explained what we had been told numerous times this would be taken care of by the dealership, and we got the excuse well that salesman shouldn't have been telling people that. There were no attempts to meet us in the middle, to even attempt to make it right, we were bamboozled. So as of Friday night, we have no vehicle and we get a call Saturday at around 2pm, that they still are not sure what exactly is wrong but that the suburban is undrivable, and that the GM tech will be off until Tuesday. Therefore, we were without a vehicle to get to and from work until it was fixed. Meanwhile they get the vehicle fixed and the driver returning the car, hits a "rock" and flattens our tires we had purchased less than 6 weeks ago requiring a patch to be placed, therefore they want to keep our vehicle another night, we tell them no fix the tire and we are coming to pick it up. We get there around 6pm and they cannot find the key. Finally, it is found after 30 minutes of waiting and then there is no receipt. Its printed and we leave... the engine is still making a squealing noise. We get home and review the receipt with recommendations, and it says we need FRONT BRAKE PADS AND A SERPETINE BELT!!!!!! NOT BRAKES AND ROTARS. This entire process has been a nightmare, this is the third vehicle we have purchased here and will most likely never return after these issues. I don't care that YOUR salesperson shouldn't have said that I feel like someone should've tried to offer a discount or meet us in the middle. I also feel like when you call to tell someone their vehicle needs something you should know exactly what it is and a price and you're insane if you think brake pads on fronts and a serpentine belt are 800. Again NIGHTMARE. More
If you are looking for a used car salesman/mangers that fits the image of the 1980s movie “Used Cars” then Kunes is the place to go. I purchased my 3 rd used vehicle from them and can’t believe I went back after the first 2 purchase and issues. I expressed to them my concerns and previous experiences before i purchased. I was reassured (lied to) and was told by said manager that they were going to make it right this time and what a great car i was getting and what a steal and how lucky I am to have purchased the one I did. Not even 100 miles on the car after purchasing and mechanical issue. I was told by sleezy manager/ said owner that I am adult and purchased the car so it’s my problem lol Not even going to get into their lack of servicing and checking their used inventory and the while of my personal experiences. But I will systematically tell every person I come into contact with as well as every site that wants a review of this place. I was warned by 3 previous customers of their management and selling of used cars unchecked. Just know the reviews on facebook don’t reflect the true nature of peoples experiences. Look into review sites nowhere else do they even come close to a 3 star rating. Somehow fb reviews are exceedingly higher. The sleeziness and condescension used by the manager who says it’s “his” store and kicked me out after i told him what I thought of him and the sleazy little portion of a man he is. Best recommendation I have is to stay away from Kunes as a whole. Zero integrity as a business, The 2.5 rating they have on yelp and elsewhere is more accurate for this place rather than the friends and people that post on fb. Sleezy sleezy little man of a manager that runs the place is laughable and his dishonesty and lack of integrity literally oozes out of the little guy. More

My worst experience was when they had my car for (three weeks) doing simple, quick repairs. When I picked it up my new front tires were swapped out for used, evenly worn, completely bald, with wires showing. they claimed they didn’t touch the tires and said it must have been from bad alignment, but EXPLAIN HOW they would be bald after not even 300 miles on the new tires I had just put on before taking it in!? REDICULOUS!! I have a free oil change with them but I’m afraid they’ll steal my engine. They have lost my business!!!!!! More
Untrustworthy, Fraudulent practices and will NEVER do business with or send anyone to do business with them. Truck price online at 49,800 down from 56,800. Actually had a call from a Kunes employee stating it was 49,800. When I called a salesman he said it was actually 52,800, wondered if I would split the difference, I said no. They said they would honor the 49,800 so I went to try to deal on it with Emmett Hall. General manager did all the negotiating, Emmett was only an observer, unfortunately. General Manager Royce presented me with a price of 62,000. I told him no way we were 10,000 off. I came up to 55k and they came down to 57k and I walked out. Wasted 3 hrs, my brother then told me an aquatance of his would never step foot in a Kunes dealership. Salesman was pissed and fuming about the whole deal. Apologized to me twice and when my brother came back to get me the salesman went out and apologized to him. Far from the Woodrum Chevrolet it used to be. Good faith based company, right?? More
