I recently had an extremely negative experience with the finance manager Stewart Cromwell at Koons of Woodbridge, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal in order to warn others. The service I received from finance manager Stewart Cromwell at Koons of Woodbridge, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal in order to warn others. The service I received from this individual was not only unprofessional but potentially illegal. During the car buying process, I had a discussion with the finance manager about the mortgage rate. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the rate I was given and mentioned that I was considering obtaining a loan from my bank instead. What followed was a series of manipulative tactics and pressure sales tactics that left me appalled. Despite clearly declining comprehensive coverage multiple times, the finance manager persisted in trying to sell it to me. It became evident that his focus was more on pushing unnecessary add-ons than providing genuine assistance. As I continued to decline the coverage, he became increasingly aggressive and visibly upset, which was completely uncalled for. To make matters worse, the finance manager failed to explain the documents I was signing. It was as if he couldn't wait to get through the process and move on to the next customer. This lack of transparency and disregard for my understanding of the contract is completely unacceptable. Towards the end of our interaction, when I reiterated my refusal of the coverage, the finance manager responded with a sarcastic and disrespectful remark, saying, "Really?" Such unprofessional behavior only further highlighted his incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction. I firmly believe that individuals like this finance manager should not be in positions where they interact with customers. Their aggressive sales tactics, lack of transparency, and disrespectful attitude create an unpleasant and untrustworthy environment for customers. Based on my experience, I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a car from Koons of Woodbridge to proceed with caution. It is important to be wary of this finance manager's unethical practices and ensure that your rights as a consumer are protected. More

The sales rep & sales manager judged me by appearance, were dishonest, & insulted my intelligence. I spoke with Mason leading up to my visit & shared that I reside 2hrs away. He declined to work the deal were dishonest, & insulted my intelligence. I spoke with Mason leading up to my visit & shared that I reside 2hrs away. He declined to work the deal & take a deposit prior to my arrival. I calculated & arrived with a cashier's check for $16,500 & the $150 coupon. We coordinated the visit for Sunday 05/21. Upon arrival I asked how long the vehicle has been in their inventory he said they received the vehicle this month. The vehicle's state inspection was 02/24. When we returned from the test drive, Mason immediately went for the close. I asked can we go inside & talk. He asked what is there to talk about(?). We walked inside & I asked for the repair orders of the vehicle. He seemed put off by that. I also displayed a printed coupon for $150 credit. Mason shared that can only be applied to vehicles purchased at Kia. I asked if I went to Kia to purchase this vehicle would they honor it, he stated yes, but his manager will not let me buy the car from that location(?). I asked Mason does Koons sell used cars from other lots, he replied yes but his manager will not allow this vehicle to be purchased at that location. $150. Mason walked away & returned with the repair order. It showed that a state inspection had taken place, oil change, hood hinges, two new rear tires, how the front barely passed at 3mm. I asked if these items were completed, Mason replied yes. I brought to his attention the 02/24 state inspection sticker. That state inspection took place prior to the vehicle being traded in. He shared he had to speak with his manager. Mason returned & said we will throw a sticker on there before you leave(?). I began to lose trust at that point. Mason proceeded to ask about financing & trying to obtain credit information. I shared I will be paying cash & would like to see a cash worksheet. He declined by asking me did I have a payment & term in mind (?). I replied I would like to see a cash worksheet. He returned with a worksheet that had a $2100 added to the cost of the vehicle. They made an attempt to add a paint product & double charge me the amount of reconditioning the vehicle. IS THIS THE WAY KOONS DOES BUSINESS?! I shared with my daughter & Mason how disappointing this was, that I knew that Mohamed Hassan (sales manager) was inflating the price for gross purposes only to say that he discounted the vehicle, attempt to hold gross/keep margins, & sell the vehicle at the advertised price. Mason attempted to justify the tactic. I asked for a cash worksheet without the paint product & the double charge for reconditioning. Mason claimed he could not have those items removed. I shared you can not force a customer to purchase a product & charge them double for the reconditioning. I stated if we can not get these items removed, we will part ways as friends. Mason attempted to obtain financing. I reminded him that I am a cash buyer. He did not seem to believe me. Mason returned with a worksheet without the unwanted/requested product & double charge for reconditioning. I felt it was fair to begin working the deal from this point, the point we should have began with. I made an offer splitting the cost of TTL & fees. Mason returned with Mohamed. Mohamed asked me how I felt about Mason, then as I was replying he cut me off & started his speech. As I expected, he claimed he discounted the vehicle by $2100 already(?) & he had nowhere else to go. He asked where my number came from, I told him the vehicle is priced fairly according to V-Auto within a 500 mile radius & that I have a budget in mind. Mohamed attempted to obtain financing. At this point I knew he had no interest in selling us the vehicle because I am a cash buyer & brought to their attention I recognized his dishonest sales tactic. I made the alt. offer due to their dishonesty, lost of trust, & the insult(s). I had high expectations for KOONS. More

When I came today (~12:30pm), the day they said they would have all the parts to fix my car, they missed a part. After waiting 2 hours, the told me they had to get it delivered from another location (~1+ hour away). by this time, its close to 4pm. When the part arrived, they said that it was the wrong part... they order the wrong part. It was a simple ordering of a new rim and tire to get replaced. Parts and what should be ordered/needed should be standard knowledge. But it was not. They then had to order the RIGHT part but it would take another ~1+ hour to get there. By then they would not be able to service my vehicle because it would be around 5pm and they close at 6pm. I was sent home. I have spent about 10 hours at the dealership for almost no reason, realizing the dealership is ~20 miles away per trip. I am not only wasting gas, milage, but not an insignificant amount of time dealing with a simple issue. At this point, the issue has not even been resolved. My wife now has to go in to get this resolved on Thursday morning... So yet another 2 day delay. This is ridiculous. While the front staff of the service department is friendly, the mechanics are atrocious and honestly useless. If you buy a car here, you might feel stuck or want to get your car serviced here... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL TO ANYONE!!! More
Don't waste your time or money here! They are terrible and are only trying to make a profit off customers. They are dishonest and the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I They are terrible and are only trying to make a profit off customers. They are dishonest and the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I had one issue after another with the first vehicle I purchased and it was such a hassle to get anything resolved and they still have not addressed my issues. If I could give this company a negative amount of stars, I would. Steer clear from this Koons dealership. It is abysmal!! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS! More
After being a consistently dissatisfied customer of this location for eight years and giving the benefit of the double a dozen times, I will never return due to my most recent experience. Koons Hyundai offe location for eight years and giving the benefit of the double a dozen times, I will never return due to my most recent experience. Koons Hyundai offers rude and borderline aggressive service staff, a dishonest and pushy sales staff, and a very expensive service department. When bringing my vehicle in for warranty service and turning down an aggressive upsell on additional service I found a completely fresh nail in my tire that was previously not there. NTB in Woodbridge is 2 miles away with a friendly staff and better, much less expensive service. If you need a dealer, Stafford Hyundai is up 95 and a far better dealer experience as well. More
