I have done all of my routine maintenance since I was 20. The "works" is one of my favorite deals. I haven't changed the oil in my Fusion - I let the dealer do it. That is mainly because I think Dan looks out for me. Dealers do charge a little more. More
The best dealer service I've ever had - visit 2 As a more recent resident to the area, today was my second visit to Kip Killmon Ford. This time I was in for the scheduled maintenance Works Service As a more recent resident to the area, today was my second visit to Kip Killmon Ford. This time I was in for the scheduled maintenance Works Service and had a couple of concerns. I spoke with Grant Carpenter, the Service Manager/Writer and expressed my concern over a possible AC leak and an undetermined leak I had from some other location under the car. I brought with me a baggie with some soiled gravel from the leak and expressed my tests to it in trying to determine its fluid type. I was left with no solid conclusion in my own tests. In the course of setting up the service, I also conversed with the always friendly and professional Michael Huffman. Grant took my sample and I we went over my service request. I chose to be on wait status and I walked around town and grabbed a quick lunch. About 90 minutes later Grant called me to tell me my service was done, and he would explain it when I arrived. A few minutes later I walked in and both Grant Carpenter and Dan Zadory greeted me with the always friendly manner I find so pleasant here. Grant went over the service with me and all was fine with the normal stuff. As to the AC, it was a loose connector and with a minimal fee they had tightened that and set the system to specification. The other leak was found to be the rear seals. The parts kit for the seals is on order and will be fixed next week. I will return for that. I am confident in the excellent service here. My car is a 2008 with slightly higher mileage and runs like new thanks to the team here at Kip Killmon Ford. I also note that in both times I have been here, never has there been any marks or blemishes left with my car inside or out and that is definitely in thanks to careful attention by Will Breedlove, who was my Technician both times. It really is a mainstream dealership with a small town atmosphere of friendliness. Pricing is modest and fair with superior quality. More
Maintenance services Not being a full time resident of the area, I was uncertain where to get my car serviced but have been to Kip Killmon Ford in Louisa, VA twice now and Not being a full time resident of the area, I was uncertain where to get my car serviced but have been to Kip Killmon Ford in Louisa, VA twice now and both times the service was excellent. They are very timely with appointments and helpful in general. My first trip was for an oil and oil filter change but also required front brakes being relined and a new battery (both expected because of the age of my 2006 Toyota Avalon and the mileage) and the second trip just a regular oil and oil filter change. The multi-point inspection provides some peace of mind to catch anything else that might need service or repair. More

A few mont Over the years I have owned, Chevrolet, Volvo, Dodge, Toyota and Ford cars or trucks. Most were serviced at their respective dealerships. A few months ago I made a life change and decided to rid all debt I could and that meant, among other things, selling my cars that had loans. I mention this because I made a budget of $5k to buy a used car. I searched and did a lot of research and found a Crown Victoria I liked. It was in very good shape and not very old. It ran well and when it came time for service I stopped into the service area and made an appointment with Dan Zadory. The whole experience was excellent. I expected fluids and maybe some other consumable things to be needed in the service, but only had fluids needed and overall a tune up. They checked the car out and verified it was in the condition it seemed to be. It is! I took a vacation from Louisa to Boston last week, just after the service, and the car feels like new! 10/10 I will visit again and again. More

DISHONESTY I have been going to Kip Killmon for over 11 years, and until this year I had no problem with this dealership, in 2 separate visits I have not been to I have been going to Kip Killmon for over 11 years, and until this year I had no problem with this dealership, in 2 separate visits I have not been told the truth. One was back in July 2016 when I brought my truck in for a state inspection, and it failed to pass because of an emergency brake issue. I made an appointment to return a few days later after they ordered some parts needed. I returned on the appointment day and waited for the vehicle, then was told it would take a while, so I got a ride home. I was then told that the work was not finished and that it would be done the next day. I left the truck there and the next day we called in the early afternoon and was told "it was almost done". Again, my husband dropped me off there to wait, and after about an hour was told again that "the truck was being worked on and they had to take it off the lift because something came up", and it wouldn't be finished today. It was July 4th weekend and was given a loaner truck for the weekend since they were closed for the holiday and my vehicle wasn't ready. This loaner was the biggest piece of junk I have ever driven, it smelled like cigarette smoke, had over 200k miles on it, had manual windows, rusty, loud. I was told that it was the vehicle used to go pick up parts and such. I was called again the following Monday and was told that my vehicle was ready, I went in and asked what was really going on and was finally told that they had ordered the wrong parts and had to re-order. I am not sure why I was not told this in the beginning. The 2nd time I was lied to, kept in the dark, not told the truth was in November when my husband and I put a $1,000 deposit down on a Ford Explorer Platinum, we were told that another dealership in N. Va. had ordered the suv we wanted and they would arrange a "dealer exchange", The next day was Thanksgiving so our salesman called us on Friday and told us that the suv was somewhere near Chicago "in the rail yard waiting to be delivered", and that he called the rail yard, no answer and would try again the following Monday, and that he called the ordering dealership and that the car was "yours when it comes in". We called again the following week and was basically told the same thing and that he was still working on the deal. We stopped by the dealership to get a copy of the papers we signed to get the V.I.N number for insurance purposes, told again that the sales man was still working on it, After 3 weeks went by, we decided to call the dealership that had originally ordered the suv and was told that it was delivered 10 days ago, was sold already. We then called our salesman back and was finally told the truth, and that he was trying to locate another vehicle the same as the one we ordered. I do not like being lied to, and this happened 2 separate times at this dealership, I did not feel comfortable doing business with them anymore. I wanted to shop local to keep the money I was spending in my local community, over $53,000.00, but after all of this, we decided to drive the 85 miles up to the ordering dealership and purchase a vehicle from them since they had one exactly the same as the one we originally ordered. There is more to the story of what was withheld from us during the 3 weeks that we thought we were getting the vehicle we had signed and put a deposit on, the only good thing that Kip Killmon did was return my deposit. I will not be going to them for any service work or future vehicle purchases. More
