Waiting area was not comfortable, just a bench in the sunshine. Also service office was very small and cramped.. I didn't feel special bringing my NEW Kia in for an oil change. But the human factor was not. Also when I bought my new Sportage I wanted step bars applied and was told NO. The tow truck operator suggested I call a KIA technician to solve my issue. So I called service at KIA Sherman Oaks expecting little or no help on a Saturday. But fortunately I was connected to William Madrid. He treated me like I mattered. He listened to my predicament, immediately ascertained what the solution probably was and then took charge in fixing it. Because of William's dedication I will take my car to KIA Sherman Oaks and recommend the service department and dealership to anyone I know. More
Bought a new Optima on 12/31/11. Sale process was as painful as with any other dealer. Hidden costs only disclosed upon completing financing. AM radio has not been working since purchase (it is now 1/18 painful as with any other dealer. Hidden costs only disclosed upon completing financing. AM radio has not been working since purchase (it is now 1/18/12). 3 visits to service. 1st was diagnostic. 2nd was to replace a part that did not fix the problem. 3rd was to take it back for further diagnostic and still waiting on parts. 4th visit anticipated 1/19/12!! Being a previous Audi owner I was used to a certain experience when purchasing a car. We needed a mid-sized SUV and were impressed with at what KIA offered after seeing them at the LA Car Show. We never thought we would be buying a KIA but between the trims and the warranties offered it just didn't make sense to go elsewhere. The first dealership made me question my decision -- especially when you figure you're investing in a dealership with the lengthy warranties they offer. I needed to feel comfortable dealing with them throughout the ownership of my car. I read all the reviews on dealerrater and yelp and I just cringed. There was no clear winner but the Sherman Oaks dealership seemed to have fairly good recent reviews. We went to a couple others and ended up at KIA of Sherman Oaks. It was smaller and had less in the way of inventory but that did not limit them in any way. We met with Francesca Barry and since we already knew what we wanted it was really just about numbers. The vehicle that suited our needs had more options than we necessarily wanted. Francesca worked diligently with Michael Tupac to get the best numbers and was respectful when we said we needed to sleep on it. We returned the next day after further research (and confirmation that we were getting a good deal) and even though we knew the numbers were quite good we pushed a little and got an great deal. Both days Francesca spent a lot of time with us and made sure all our questions were answered. She was straightforward and we felt she always had our best interest at heart -- even when we pushed. The owner greeted us both days and it was clear that they really want this dealership and maintenance center to be with you through the ownership of your car. They have also followed up since the purchase of our car to make sure they were available should we have any questions. I thought I would miss my Audi but now I say the Audi was sexy but KIA is the new smart (and sexy :). Friends and co-workers are also impressed. We're really happy with our purchase and walked away impressed with the experience after dreading it for so long. No one goes into buying a car thinking it is going to be an okay experience but we feel we were treated fairly and we drove away with a great car. I recommend KIA of Sherman Oaks and Francesca -- they want your business for the long haul. More

Kia Sherman Oaks is so professional, efficient yet they do not rush the job. The employees are all very friendly & welcoming. They treat me like a customer should be treated. Manny & David are the best & Juan the tech & all of their employees at Sherman Oaks Kia. When I first got my Kia I took it to Glendale Kia becaiuse I live in Glendale. That was a huge mistake. The guy there was cocky, treated me like I knew nothing about cars & tried to sell me things I did not even need a repair for!!!! I then went to Sherman Oaks & they disagreed & said we will take care of your auto needs & they did. They are the best & I rank them # 1 !!!!!! P.S. I don't even mind driving to Sherman Oaks from Glendale & I plan to move further to the city near Culver City so I will STILL make the drive for good service that they provide. I had a hard time seeking an appointment due to spare parts not available yet?. The recall letter stated to bring the vehicle ASAP because continous driving the vehicle will eventually damaged the transmission. Its the second recall letter i received (re: whirring/whining noise from the shaft?) but after the 2 recalls i can still hear the whirring/whinning noise from the engine and i hope its but normal.
