We received a letter from KIA Autosport from David Clarida (Who has become our favorite sales person)congratulating us on our 2nd anniversary of our 1st ever KIA purchase and that being a KIA Soul. This letter arrived about the same time my wife and I just happened to be discussing how much we still loved the card but wishe we had gone further in available options. We were already "THINKING" of just driving by and "LOOKING" at the new models. That letter was all we needed, plus the fact that it came from David who made the whole experience of purchasing our Soul a very pleasant one. So we told David we would drop by. When we got there David was busy with a customer but asked if we minded if Eric Novak showed us whatever we wanted to look at. At first we were a little dissapointed just because we enjoyed talking with David and his knowledge of the KIA vehicles. The dissapointment didn't last long at all. Eric is incredible and EXTREMELY friendly and equally knowledgeable about the vehicles. It again was a very very pleasant experience which lead to another purchase of a new Soul. I must also compliment how at ease Marcus made us both feel while being there and talking over our options. It's just an incredible staff from start to finish that you just don't find at other dealerships. And we know first hand because we went to another KIA dealership before we bought our 1st KIA at KIA Autosport of Pensacola. Trust me, there is absolutely NO COMPARISON. Great experience with Dave and Michael. Car buying is not one of my favorite activities. I always hate being swarmed by the sales staff as soon as you pull into a dealership. This was not the case at P not one of my favorite activities. I always hate being swarmed by the sales staff as soon as you pull into a dealership. This was not the case at Pensacola Kia. I contacted Dave (Catfish) via the internet and planned on meeting him to look at some vehicles but my husband and I were out shopping on a Sunday and just stopped in to see what Kia had to offer. Michael Townsend greeted us and answered any questions we had (we also gave him a little our our wisdom too....) Just ask him. Any way, over the period of three weeks, we continued to look at other vehicles as traditionally Toyotas were my car of choice and I was trying to talk myself out of buying a "KIA". But we love our Kia Optima Hybrid. Thanks guys for the great salesmanship and for making what I fell is a horrible task and enjoyable car buying experience. I was very pleased with the "service and care" I was given. I had planned on buying a new car and could not qualify but every effort was made to find me the right car and to ensure I did not leav I was given. On 3 September 2012. My wife and I came into this dealership to hopefully purchase a vehicle. The floor manager Chris Jenkins while friendly at first, about an hour later of attempting to make a deal dealership to hopefully purchase a vehicle. The floor manager Chris Jenkins while friendly at first, about an hour later of attempting to make a deal on a vehicle turned into an all out yelling match that spilled into the parking lot. Chris, my wife and I could not come to a deal so my wife and I thanked both associates that worked with us and and attempted to get up and walk to our vehicle. Mr.Jenkins proceeded to tell us how he was trying to save us money on a vehicle and so fourth. He then told me to follow him to the new vehicle we were interested in and told us he would sell it to us 2000 dollars under MSRP. At this point tensions are high between myself and Chris and he proceeds to tell my wife and I, I can tell by your body language you are struggling to make payments. This is when I told Chris have a nice day and again my wife and I attempted to walk away to our vehicle and drive away. Mr. Jenkins still insisted on getting his point across about how much money he was trying to save us. I told him that I was done with him and did not want to talk to him any longer as I could tell he was getting upset. I again told him to leave my wife and I alone and he replied This is my dealership and I do not have to go anywhere. By this time there are about 8 car sales people standing in the parking lot observing there floor manager harassing me. I realized Mr. Watts the other associate had not given me my keys to my old vehicle, so while I asked Mr. Watts for my keys, he had to go back into the dealership to get them. While waiting Mr. Jenkins is still attempting to talk to me, so again I told him to leave me I told him he was being very unprofessional. I even had to walk from around my car to yell at the associates standing around observing to come get Mr. Jenkins away from me. Mr. Watts finally returned my keys and while super frustrated I blurted out towards Mr. Jenkins, So this is how you treat a U.S. Soldier and my wife and I got in my vehicle and drove away. Mr. Jenkins embarrassed my wife and I and totally insulted us in the parking lot of a dealership. He was totally unprofessional and should have realized if the sale wasn't going to be made to walk away himself and not get into an argument with a customer because we were trying to walk away. I definitely will not hold the whole dealership accountable for one persons actions. Unfortunately for my wife and I, we had an horrible experience with this being our first KIA dealership. More
