I came in for the light to be reset from an oil change at another place and to plug a tire under warranty. Seems very straightforward and simple! My appointment was at 10:30 - ( arrived at 10:20 am. About an hour later, I was informed that I needed an a/c filter. I said OK! Around 12:30pm I go to check on my car. I was informed by the rep (Jeffery B.) that he was waiting on the tire warranty company to open because he kept getting a voicemail. Luckily, another rep walked by and informed Jeffery B. that the company was CLOSED on Saturday and to do the work and take pics to submit on Monday. So I wait again! Finally around 2:30pm, I see my car drive out. I immediately get up to see Jeffery B. so I can leave. First, the Jeffery B. ask when did I plan on getting the a/c filter changed? I said I told you hours ago to change it. He walks away and returns not addressing the filter. I ask if he was sure the filter was changed on MY car? He says “yes, we can NOT just put a filter on just any car.” My response…”of course you can. These are all Kia’s and most of the parts at the KIA DEALERSHIP will fit several cars/models!” Jeffery B. then told me that my bill was $300+. I asked why being that the filter quote was $39. Jeffery B. said they charged me for the tire, an engine filter and an a/c filter. I informed him that I only agreed to an a/c filter and tire repair that was covered under warranty. Long story short David (another Rep) had to finish my ticket to correct all of the extra charges so I could eventually get out of there at 3:00pm. It took 4.5 hours for a simple service that I’m not sure if the filter was REALLY changed!!. Without David’s help, I would still be there hours later! More

I first crossed paths with Kia South Atlanta in 2022, on the kind of morning every Kia owner now dreads. My 2018 Forte had fallen victim to the “Kia Boyz” craze—would-be thieves cracked open the steering column but couldn’t drive off because it’s a stick. Per my insurer’s rules, the car was towed straight to this dealership’s service bay. The advisor assured me the full steering column, including the height-adjustment mechanism, would be ordered right away and I’d get a call when it arrived. Relieved, I drove off in a loaner, trusting that both the car and the promised phone call were in good hands. Weeks passed, then months. The car came back drivable, but the wheel was locked at one height—no tilt, no telescope. When I asked, I was told the adjustable section was “still on order” and they’d ring me the moment it showed up. That call never came, yet my insurance statement later showed Kia South Atlanta had billed for the entire steering-column assembly, height adjuster and all. Paid in full, installed in part—that felt less like an oversight and more like a quiet breach of trust. Fast-forward to 2025: new ownership, new management, fresh reputation to build. I reached out again—emails with documentation, voicemails with repair-order numbers—hoping the new team would seize the chance to right an obvious wrong. Silence. The only reply was a cheery marketing email asking if I’d like to trade in my paid-off Forte for something new. Apparently, it’s easier to chase a sale than return a phone call about a part already paid for. So here we are. My steering wheel remains frozen, my insurer’s dollars covered a component that never made it onto the car, and Kia South Atlanta hasn’t lifted a finger to correct the record. Management, you have every detail on file. Install the part you charged for, adjust the invoice to match reality, and give me a single, honest phone call. Until then, this one-star review stands as both warning and invitation: show the integrity your customers—and their safety—deserve. More
