DO NOT WORK WITH THESE LAZY SCAMMERS! I contacted this dealership to ask a simple question and ALBERT GREY would not chat with me unless I drove all the way to Van Nuys. I HAVE NEVER HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH HYUNDAI OF VAN NUYS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN THE TWO YEARS I HAVE HAD MY TUSCON. 3). THIS CURRENT EXPERIENCED IS THE WORST YET, AND I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN, NOR WILL I EVER OWN ANOTHER HYUNDAI AS LONG AS I LIVE. WHAT HAPPENED?: I made an appointment online for 2/22/22, Tuesday at 11:30. To make it at 11:30 in the morning I had to move a couple of my accounts to the next day. When I arrived I was told by the service person that they would need the car for at least three hours because they were very backed up. I told him that worked out fine because I had a break between 3 and 4pm, but from 4 to 7 I would be busy. So, 3 o'clock rolls around and I have not been called about my car. I wrote a text to my service person but he never wrote back. So around 3:30pm my neighbor, drove me over there. It turned out that the car was never done and he wanted me to leave it to THE NEXT DAY!! He wanted to give me a ride home and I said, "what am I gonna do in the morning? And what about my job?" He said HYUNDAI isn't doing loaners. He didn't even offer to pay for the Uber. I told him, "give me my car". So I took it home and it was NEVER serviced. That night I went on a chat on their website and told the story and they said a manager would return my call. Nobody did for a whole week. Yesterday I left a LONG message on the general manager's Brian Sobel's, voicemail. He called me back and this is the outcome. He will have me bring my car and drop it off, he will personaly drive me home and pick me up to get my car, and he will have my car totally serviced free of charge.. FINAL OUTCOME: Today is the day I was scheduled to meet the General Manager, Brian Sobel. I was told to text him when I arrived and he would come out and meet me. We previously agreed on 11:30 Tuesday 3/8/22. At 10:30am I texted Mr. Sobel the General Manager and told him I was running behind and it would be closer to 12pm. He never responded. When it came time for me to head over, I texted that I was on my way. Brian replied to text him when I arrived. Literally two minutes later I texted.. "I am here". Then I waited and I waited. After a few minutes I texted again. Nothing. After 15 minutes I left. A few minutes after I got all the way home, he texted that he went into a noon meeting and it just finished. He asked if I was still there.. I responded... "Did you really expect me to stand out there for 40 minutes without a single person walking up and asking me if they can help me or acknowledging my existence at all? I don't think so. Now I know why Your service department runs the way it does. Forget it. I'm moving on." His response:"OK". NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER OR THEIR TIME. TECHNICIANS HAVE NO PERSONALITY. NOT FRIENDLY OR ATTENTIVE. GENERAL MANAGER A LIAR AND A FLAKE. IT IS NO WONDER THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT RUNS THE WAY IT DOES. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN KEYES HYUNDAI NOR WILL I EVER BUY ANOTHER HYUNDAI AS LONG AS I LIVE. More
Everything went extremely well, from the time I arrived until my service work was complete. My service consultant (John Shaw) was very attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. . .he also pointed out some until my service work was complete. My service consultant (John Shaw) was very attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. . .he also pointed out some future maintenance issues that required parts orders/warranty work and the potential need for a rental vehicle during servicing. I've experienced some dreadful servicing from other Hyundai dealerships (that are closer to home) but the drive and overall experience with the Keyes staff was worth it. . .nicely done. Bob More
