When Chris gave you information on the purchase price he wasn't wrong, it was one of the most aggressive prices out there. Being part of a large corporation has its advantages and sometimes the upper management moves inventory and costs around. Chris had no reason to believe that it would be lowered beyond what it was. Getting a different price is expected, negotiation is part of buying a car. What would have been nice would have been a little more honesty. Jay Tanner, the internet sales manager knew of the price drop, yet wanted to negotiate a deal where my trade would be $200 since he didn't know I knew about the price drop. This was dishonest and shady, since I was told my trade was "worth" $1000 just the day before. When I called him out on that, he incorporated my trade into the deal and dropped the price to what it should have been (had integrity been used)....but told me (I have the email) that I would HAVE to finance through the dealership. I said no to that for a couple of reasons. The main reason was because I did not trust your business at this point, so why would I want to share my personal information? If a simple business transaction could not be handled truthfully, why should I feel confident with my social security number in your possession? When I said I was going to work with my bank (because I trust them), Jay told me the deal couldn't happen. Yet, the deal was no different than the price that was listed online...so why would that have to be part of the deal? The kicker is when I went to sign papers with John in the finance department he made some comments that were inappropriate and pointed. He was insinuating that the reason I did not want to finance with the dealership was because my only option was to work with my bank, because "People like you with bad credit only have that option, but we could have worked something out." That was rude and uncalled for. My credit score is unknown to him, and this comment alone will make me NEVER return to your business again. Along with trying to be forced into financing with your business, this was NOT a good experience. I will let others know of my experience every chance that I get. I do have a large network of people, a majority in your area, and I will be more than happy to steer them away from such treatment.
