I took my ford freestyle in the week befor memorial day due to a AWD malfunction light. The service people were nice and spent about 3 hours taking it apart and told me they thought it was a sensor proble due to a AWD malfunction light. The service people were nice and spent about 3 hours taking it apart and told me they thought it was a sensor problem. They had to order the part and said it would be about 5 days. Since it was the week before memorial day, it was not a problem for me. I waited. And I waited. After hearing NOTHING for over 5 WEEKS, I called after July 4th holiday and spoke to my seri e guy (Scotty). What. Coincidence! He was just checking on the part that morning. He put me on hold to "double-check". After 15 minutes I hung up foolishly thinking he would actually call me back. That was over two weeks ago and i have still not heard back. I would like to be able to recommend this service department but cannot seem to get any service actually done. I really do not think it is up to me to keep calling over and over again to find out if a part the service department ordered has arrived. More
I took in the Mrs car for an alignment and detail, I felt very confident that it would be handled with kid glove care and liked the pricing as well. This was a to be a surprise for my Mrs and I was excited t very confident that it would be handled with kid glove care and liked the pricing as well. This was a to be a surprise for my Mrs and I was excited to see the car detailed as if it were retail sales ready and shiny. Took the Mrs down to pickup the car and OMG! MY SURPRISE TOTALLY BOMBED! the car looked as if they washed it and dressed everything with tire dressing, the black paint looked worse than when I took it in for detail. I spoke with the service advisor and we gave the benefit of the doubt that they would make it right, so we left the car to be detailed again. Arrived a day later to pick the car up. It looked worse! Full of swirls! I was pissed off at this point and I felt horrible because I really wanted the Mrs car to look great for her. So I paid and we left to never return. Once in the road we noticed the alignment was still pulling to the right. I figured maybe the suspension needed some exercise, driving on a trip to Clearfield I realized that the car felt no different. Out of curiosity I Stopped and pulled one side of the car onto a curb so I could slide under the car to inspect the suspension. The tire rod ends still has old grease and grime all over them, IN NO WAY DID A MECHANIC EVEN SLIDE A WRENCH OVER THEM, IT WAS NOT possible. no wrench marks on any of the adjustment nuts at all! This car never saw a lift..... Took the car to my regular mechanic and he agreed that there was no alignment done recently. After his further inspection my mechanic informed me that he could not perform an alignment on the car as there were several suspension components beyond their usable life. The car was actually NOT SAFE. I trust my regular mechanic, he even showed me the wear of the components on the lift, the rear and front lower control arm bushings were almost non existent. So Kenny Ross sent my wife down the road with an unsafe car, if they had looked at the suspension and attempted the alignment they would have clearly identified these safety issues. I did put about $900 into suspension work with my regular mechanic. When I picked the car up I felt an immediate difference! It rode and handled like it was on rails, it honestly felt like a new car. Also took it to a local body shop / detailer for a real detailing treatment, OMG THE CAR LOOKED BRAND NEW! And the detailer said whoever buffed the car recently really made a mess of the finish (the car is black) it took the detailer twice as long to get the paint right! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO KENNY ROSS, THEIR CUSTOMERS REALLY NEED TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES with honest service from a reputable mechanic and they will see the difference. I have had various problems with Ford dealerships and their service advisors, they assume all customers are stupid and the advisors are compensated based upon the repairs they sell which I feel is a TOTAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST! I LOVE FORD CARS BUT NOT MOST DEALER SERVICE. More

I brought my car in to the dealership for an oil change. I don't normally use a dealer, but it was late in the day and I heard they had evenong hours. This was a great experience and I appreciate the courtesy and efficiency that Michael provided. I'll be back the next time my car needs serviced. More
After many assurances of the cars' stuctural integrity After many assurances of the cars' stuctural integrity and clean accident record,I purchased a "risk free" 2003 Ford Taurus SEL with 49,327miles on N After many assurances of the cars' stuctural integrity and clean accident record,I purchased a "risk free" 2003 Ford Taurus SEL with 49,327miles on November 1, 2009. Since that purchase date,in March 2009(only 4,000 miles later), I had to totally replace the front disc brake rotors and pads, replace the rear drum assembly and rear drum brakes, and get the tires balanced ($390.00). At that service visit, I was also told that both tie rods needed replacing ($308.00). Just one month later, after trying the a/c, smoke began billowing from the engine. When brought to Kenny Ross Ford, they informed me that the a/c system would need a total repair. After charging me $45.48 to check the a/c,I was hit with an estimated repair bill of nearly $1800.00. Now, just six months later (June 2009), the rear springs have broken on the car AND I was told by the tow truck operator the car has had front end damage and "fairly extensive" body work. To date I have received only one offer of assistance from Kenny Ross Ford;"go to a junk yard and find the parts needed, then find a mechanic to install the parts." Nice, huh? I will keep everyone at Dealerrater informed with further updates. More
2008 Expedition, now has 32,000mi. Re-occuring transmission/drivetrain problems. The first time it happened, it basically ruined our family vacation! In the past year, I have made 5 trips to dea transmission/drivetrain problems. The first time it happened, it basically ruined our family vacation! In the past year, I have made 5 trips to dealership (mostly Kenny Ross South Store). Number 6 is scheduled for tomorrow. This is my last try at Kenny Ross before I try another dealer, then another make of vehicle! This dealer is quick to promise "Kenny Ross home of the 100,000mi warranty on every new vehicle" Go ahead, try it... I think you'll find it's as empty as the time off you be taking from your job running back and forth to this dealer. I feel the staff has been neither helpful, nor, sympathetic to me or my wife. (Except, Andy Weiss, he at least showed concern for the customer) I am quickly loosing confidence in this dealer and Ford products altogether!!!! More
