On March 18, 2011, we decided to buy a 2011 Hyundai Elantra from Ken Garff Hyundai based on previous Hyundai ownership and a great experience from Ken Garff used cars (we purchased a used 2006 Volkswag Elantra from Ken Garff Hyundai based on previous Hyundai ownership and a great experience from Ken Garff used cars (we purchased a used 2006 Volkswagon Jetta for our daughter in January). We got a price and as the financing was to be through my credit union, Shane sent the paperwork to them and all was well. We left with a new car. I closed the loan with the credit union and brought in a check on March 25 and paid for the car. Got a phone call from Shane on March 30, asking where my $2000.00 was, at first I thought it was an early April fools joke but no, he said his paperwork stated I would put $2000.00 down. I was shocked as a cash down payment was NEVER dicussed, my trade-in was my down payment. Shane said he would check with Keith Blomsness and get back to me. Shane called back on March 31 and said oh yes, its right there in the paperwork and you signed it. I was understanably upset and argued with him to no avail until he made it perfectly clear he would collect his monies, no bargaining, no negotiating, I needed to come up with $2000.00 now. I called Cyprus Credit Union the same day and spoke to a loan officer and was told my signature was in fact on the purchase order showing the cash down. Since they understood that i had put money down on this they would not lend me another $2000.00 as it would upset the loan to value. Great! what now? Based on fears of being sued I approached my Father for a loan and after great embarassment and humiliation got the money. I know I signed the agreement, but that does not change the fact that the cash down payment should never have been on it in the first place, as I said earlier it was never part of the deal. The paperwork was breezed through so quickly I may have also agreed to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. I want to believe that this was all just a mistake and a misunderstanding but in my gut i feel it was an underhanded, deliberate scheme to assure my loan got approved. Sad to say this is my third Hyundai in ten years and my last, and my second car from Ken Garff in three months, also my last. I offer my complete assurance I will share the bad taste in my mouth with anyone who will listen. P.S. the only correspondence I have had from my saleman (keith) has been in the form of e-mails soliciting positive feedback so he can win contests and promotions. More

Ken Garff is my dealership-each time I need to buy a new car that is where I go. I was greeted promptly and my questions where answered. There was no pressure with this transaction only helpfulness. It was the smoothest car purchase I have ever made. Kristen even called my home to verify that I was 100 percent happy with my purchase. I was able to purchase a demo car which made it a great value for me. The windshield was cracked on the car and again Kristen called to make sure that I had heard from service to get the windshield replaced. Customer service was excellent and they could not of been friendlier. I always recommend Ken Garff to all my friends. Thank you also for the Road to Success program that Ken Garff provides for the students in my school-it is very much appreciated. (Thanks also for the teacher rewards-I used mine on this purchase and always use the service coupons on my oil changes). More

Honestly, my husband and I were drawn back to Ken Garff Hyundai by the outstanding customer service, their BACK-U-UP program (which I hope we don't need to use, but nice to know it's available), and their warranty/protection program for used cars. We looked at many used cars at many dealerships (including other Ken Garff locations) along the Wasatch Front for several weeks. Kristen and Ken Garff Hyundai made us feel like they had our best interest at heart and they weren't pushy (or on the other end of the spectrum - indifferent). The finance people were friendly and easy to deal with - getting us an even lower rate than our credit union had quoted us. As we were finishing up our paperwork well after closing hours on a Saturday the general manager (Sam?) stopped by to introduce himself. If I have anything less than exceptional to say about our experience it is to suggest to potential customers that they check the windshield of any car they are considering purchasing for cracks and make arrangements in advance to have those fixed (or ask to have the amount to fix them deducted from the price of the car) before driving the car off the lot. Overall, a VERY GOOD experience that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this dealer and sales rep (Kristen). More
Every thing went fine. We like the car. For the money it is a great little car and we are consistently getting around 32mpg in a combination of city and freeway driving. I was looking at purchasing a new car and one of my options was a Sonata, but I had some special requests. I wanted most of the "Bells and Whistles" but I did not want a Sun Roof or a Navigation system options was a Sonata, but I had some special requests. I ended up buying a SE turbo and have heated Leather seats installed on the front seats. The pricing was very good and everyone has been very nice to word with. This has been the best experience I have had at a car dealership, mainly because of Steve's eagerness to help me get the right car. More
