Unsatisfactory I brought my Toyota Prius to Freedom Toyota because it was not shifting into gear when it was started. The technician spoke to my wife and me like we I brought my Toyota Prius to Freedom Toyota because it was not shifting into gear when it was started. The technician spoke to my wife and me like we were senile (asking if we stepped on the brake to start the car.) We've been driving this car since 2011; we know how to start it. When my wife mentioned that she noticed some on-line comments concerning this exact problem, it was brushed off. Because the techs could not duplicate the problem, they sent us on our way. We have bought 2 new cars from your dealership in the past and recommended you to our friends. This will not happen again. More

Service I had to make 3 visits to the service department and use over 9 hours of my time which I will never get back, I had a problem with my air conditioning I had to make 3 visits to the service department and use over 9 hours of my time which I will never get back, I had a problem with my air conditioning unit I called to make appointment no one answered the phone so I left my cell phone number and I did not get a call so I drove there without a appointment it turned out I needed a new compressor so it was order I went back 2 days later only to go the hot 🥵 heat wave without it working. I returned Today and waited 3.5 hours before it was repaired. More

Two years of questionable diagnoses and long waits Most recently I was told that my Tacoma's head gasket was leaking and would need to be replaced for a cool $2,800. Also told that my rear struts would Most recently I was told that my Tacoma's head gasket was leaking and would need to be replaced for a cool $2,800. Also told that my rear struts would need to be replaced to pass inspection--another $300. I took the truck to an independent garage whose senior mechanic has a long and solid history with my sister's family. He said he saw no problem with the head gasket OR the rear struts, although they would need to be replaced at some point in the future, but not required for PA inspection. An earlier mis-diagnosis for a cab leak was also way off the mark. They told me $250 to fix it; I looked more closely at the problem and fixed it myself with a glob of leak-stop around a wire hole. The waiting room is very nice, the people friendly. The service department needs to look closely at their assessments, and the customers very closely at their service recommendations. IOW, get a second opinion! Or find another shop. More
