I drove a long distance to the dealership based on the vehicle and pricing we had discussed. After arriving, I was told that the vehicle I came for was not available. I had specifically driven there expecting to see and negotiate on that vehicle, so this was a major waste of my time. I then spoke with the sales manager, Matt, about pricing. Instead of simply discussing the numbers professionally, the conversation became argumentative. I felt like I was being challenged about how I came up with my target price rather than being treated like a customer who was genuinely ready to purchase a vehicle. I came prepared to buy, but the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend making a long trip to this dealership without getting confirmation in writing that the exact vehicle is physically available and that the pricing is still valid. More
This dealership is very unethical and have no remorse after falsely claiming they had a car on the lot that they did not. The management here trains people to lie and lure people in and upsell them and i after falsely claiming they had a car on the lot that they did not. The management here trains people to lie and lure people in and upsell them and in the process trap them into buying overpriced vehicles. I called them based on their web declared inventory, verified with them the exact VIN and that it is a car in the lot. I told them I was coming from a long distance (1.5 hrs away) away and will be bringing an additional driver so we can purchase the car and drive back. Once I arrived at their dealership I was told the car has been sold within the last two hours. While I was texting them throughout about how far I was. I also asked them if there is a way I can guarantee that car will not be sold and they simply said “just come to the dealership”. Then at the dealership with a straight face and no remorse, they tried to sell me over priced vehicles I was not interested in. Their modus operandi is to over price the distributor installed options by 4X and rip off unsuspecting folks. They should be reported for their practices to both Toyota management and other relevant organizations for consumer protection. More
I went to this dealership to inquire about leasing a certified used Tacoma because I’m still unsure about the long-term reliability of the new Tacoma platform. The salesman wasn’t sure if it could be le certified used Tacoma because I’m still unsure about the long-term reliability of the new Tacoma platform. The salesman wasn’t sure if it could be leased, so he brought over a manager. I explained what I wanted, and both of them told me it could be leased, although the manager kept pushing me toward financing instead. Over the next four days they called me several times, and admittedly I was busy with work and couldn’t always respond right away. Eventually, that same manager called trying to make a deal and gave me the usual spiel about not wasting my time going somewhere else. I gave him the information he needed and told him, “Give me your best deal. I’m not negotiating against myself.” After that, I got a call from a DIFFERENT manager who told me the used Tacoma couldn’t be leased at all and that what I was asking for was impossible. I explained that both his salesman and another manager had already told me it could be done, but ultimately I told him I wouldn’t be doing business with them. To be clear, I’m not upset that I can’t lease certified used. I know not a lot of places do that, and if they had told me that from the beginning, I would’ve completely understood. What bothers me is being told completely different things depending on who I’m talking to. That’s a huge red flag for me. Fast-forward to today, and the salesman calls me AGAIN after I had already made it clear I wasn’t doing business with them. I’ll admit I dropped a few colorful words because at that point I was genuinely frustrated. He kept saying that if I worked with a different manager, things could be different, but that’s exactly the problem. Which answer am I supposed to believe? If one salesman and manager tell me one thing, another manager tells me the complete opposite, and then I’m told yet another manager might change things again, why would I feel confident spending $60,000+ there? What happens if they tell me one thing over the phone and I drive back there only to hear something completely different? I’ve dealt with plenty of dealerships, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Save yourself the time and money and shop somewhere else. More
I traveled from San Diego to Houston to visit my mother-in-law and happened to find an excellent deal on a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road in exactly the color I wanted at Keating Toyota. Since I spend a mother-in-law and happened to find an excellent deal on a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road in exactly the color I wanted at Keating Toyota. Since I spend a lot of time vacationing in Oregon, I decided it was worth buying the truck in Texas and driving it there. Overall, the buying experience was outstanding. The only challenge came later with the Oregon title and licensing process. That's where Jessica in the title department truly went above and beyond. She patiently walked me through the process, explained how everything was supposed to work, and when an unexpected glitch came up, she stood by her word and worked hard to make sure everything was resolved. In today's world, it's easy for people to say, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do," or not follow through on what they promised. Jessica did the exact opposite. She took ownership, fought to make things right, and delivered exceptional customer service from start to finish. Keating Toyota should recognize how valuable Jessica is because employees like her build trust and earn lifelong customers. Thanks to her dedication and professionalism, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another vehicle from Keating Toyota again and again. More
I pick up our car and a safety recall was not preformed because Toyota doesn’t have a fix for it yet. So, keating and Toyota together put us in another vehicle and chose to keep my vehicle until there is a because Toyota doesn’t have a fix for it yet. So, keating and Toyota together put us in another vehicle and chose to keep my vehicle until there is a fix. How long…… only Toyota knows and no fault of Keating Toyota. Returned after 6 weeks and still no fix for our car. We traded out the vehicle after only getting to drive it for 1 week and 6 weeks in their shop. Boy did we take a beating. We traded in for what was to be a swap out and they screwed us out or $25,500 on or trade. We went back to talked to them just weeks later and all we got was, OH you made a bad deal. These guys are crooks. The guy named Shaun actually stood up and started yelling at my wife and telling us to leave, and wanted one of his salesmen to call 911. How pathetic of a Manager. Totally unprofessional. Do not buy from here unless you bring your lawyer!!! More
The OLD BAIT and SWITCH are alive and well at KEATING TOYOTA, ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY! I’ll preface this story by saying I had hoped my first experience with this dealership would be positive rather tha TOYOTA, ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY! I’ll preface this story by saying I had hoped my first experience with this dealership would be positive rather than negative. But here goes, I visited the dealership in good faith on 13 February 2026 to purchase a used vehicle for $75,000. It was my first time there, and my salesman was Mr. R. Skipper, and his manager was Mr. S. Young. While looking over the vehicle, I was told it had two keys and that the cosmetic damage I identified on the hood would be repaired. After three hours being there, we finally closed. As I was transferring my personal items from my traded car, which had two keys, I was awaiting Mr. Skipper to bring me the second set for the purchased car. After 5-10 minutes, I go searching, and I find him inside the dealership, about to depart for the evening. I ask him where are the second set of keys? He then tells me that, after 3 hours there, he was sorry, but there was no second set. He then proposes to make it right. I needed to pay half the cost of a second key, and the dealership would pay the other half. Obviously, I would not agree with this, and had I known from the start that the second set was missing, I would not have purchased the car. I made them aware at the beginning of my visit that I was not going to waste anyone’s time with foolishness or, surely, any lies. Mad as I was, I was then promised that someone would contact me on Saturday, 14 FEB 26, to arrange a date for the second set of keys to be given to me and repairs to the vehicle. As you would expect, no one called, even after I called the dealership Saturday myself and left a message for Mr. Skipper to return my call. Ladies and Gentlemen, please keep my experience in mind before visiting this dishonest dealership. More

I was connected to salesman Joseph who set up an appointment for my wife and I to visit and text drive a car he said he they had on their lot. He said he sent me the specifics for the car. After an hour long drive from Galveston my wife and I learned from a subordinant salesman who was sent to meet with us that they did not have the car. No apologies were received from Joseph for our two hours of wasted time and long drive. Beware of this dealership! They are unethical! More

They listed a car at $23,394 but raised it to $26,100 with fabricated “finance fees.” That breaks TILA (15 U.S.C. § 1601 et seq.) and Texas Finance Code §§ 348.005 & 348.102, which demand transparent disclosure. They insisted on a service contract, which is illegal under Texas Occupations Code § 1304.006. When we refused, Calvin Redmond walked off. Andrew Haines changed stories, violating Texas Bus. & Com. Code § 17.46(b)(12). Their conduct constitutes bait-and-switch, banned by § 17.46(b)(9) and FTC Act § 5. Luis Toledo removed the illegal contract but refused to match the advertised price, citing conflicting “fees.” That’s false under § 17.46(a) and (b)(12). The deal should have been: $23,394 price → $20,083 financed. They charged $22,958.43, violating TILA, Finance Code, and DTPA § 17.46(b)(11). Complaints will be filed with Texas AG, FTC, and Texas DMV Enforcement. Do not do business here. This dealership relies on deception and illegal add-ons. More
The GM name Luis is not nice to me as a new customer. The story is: I bought tacoma 2015 used and bought home. The mechanical issue came up after 9 days of purchase. I brought my Tacoma to the Keatin The story is: I bought tacoma 2015 used and bought home. The mechanical issue came up after 9 days of purchase. I brought my Tacoma to the Keating. Sale person let me talk to him. He said He did not want to fix the issue and spend 200 dollars for diagnostics. I told him it just happened in few days why could you compromised customer. Then he kept forcing me that he could buy back but I have to buy a new one. I told him first I couldn’t afford over 25k and second I like to keep my Tacoma and please just tell me how much to fix also needs his help to lower the fixing cost. He said no without any respect. So bad for this treatment. We brought Tacoma back home and promised never buy from this dealer again. Lesson to learn is if you buy a used car from this dealer make sure you have mechanic with you to avoid problems happening later. Bad lucky for me that I tested around facility but not in the high way and problem came 4 days later. More
