bad experience I have nothing good to say about Kearny Mesa Acura. Acura of Escondido is equally bad. Do yourself a favor and avoid Penske dealerships altogether. They say they're in the process of correcting my blotched DMV paperwork - Wrong address and misspelled name entered. This problem has been going on for quite a long period with no resolution. They're bad about following up on their commitments and keeping their promises. Don't expect them to return any phone calls they promise. Dan Collins, Kerney Mesa general manager, simply handed my DMV problem off to one of his equally incompetent managers, and never followed up on it. I called Mr. Collins back and he became argumentative. I will never spend another dime with these losers or recommend them to anyone. More
While waiting for my oil change, I was told my timing belts haven't been changed in over 7 years and if i didn't get them changed asap, my car would see other huge problems. After going home and checkin belts haven't been changed in over 7 years and if i didn't get them changed asap, my car would see other huge problems. After going home and checking my records, my receipts showed my timing belts were changed only 5 years ago on October 13, 2008. I called back to tell Juan and he quickly answered with an inane, incoherent answer his records only went back to October 6, 2008, showing he was either answering without thinking or he's not with it. Also, the service report stated the air in my front and rear tires was performed. I was livid. My call back to Juan was Acura techs should should know green caps on the tires show nitrogen air and now my tires had both compressed and nitrogen air and I had to go and undo this mistake. When I told him, he told me even though it states they did it on the service report, it probably wasn't done, it's just standard to write that on the service report. I asked well what else is written as standard and is not actually done? In picking up my car, it was sandwiched in between two cars and obvious one car had to be moved before I could pull out. The service tech was rude and then further remarks, your emergency brake was on. I hope they would have had it on...since it was parked. But when I went to pick up my car, I never even tried to move it as it was impossible given how close the 3 cars were parked. More
Very unfriendly. Will never recommend to any one. The guy had a very cold attitude, didn't even bother to explain the features of the car and said this is what we have.
