FROM FIRST MEETING VICTOR TRAVAGLIANTI IN THE SHOWROO MY BEST EXPERIENCE EVER BUYING A CAR AND BELIEVE ME AT MY AGE I HAVE PURCHASED A LOT OF CARS. FROM FIRST MEETING VICTOR TRAVAGLIANTI IN THE SHOWROOM TO DRIVING MY NEW CAR OFF THE LOT I RECEIVED COURTEOUS TREATMENT AND HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT EVERY PRODUCT IN THE SHOWROOM.OVER THE YEARS CAR SALES PEOPLE IN GENERAL HAVE BEEN NOTED TO BE RUDE AND PUSHY AND I HAVE OFTEN HAD THAT EXPERIENCE MYSELF; I WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO NOTE THAT MY EXPERIENCE WITH V.TRAVAGLIANTI REALLY DISPELLED THAT NOTION.MY PARTNER TIM WAS W/ ME AND I MUST SAY THAT ON THE WAY HOME HE STATED HE WOULD DEFINITELY BUY A CAR FROM "VIC".I ALSO ENCOUNTERED OTHER STAFF AT THE THE DEALERSHIP, NAMELY TODD JOHNSON, AND HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL W/ THE FINANCIAL ASPECTS OF THE PURCHASE.AT ONE POINT VIC HAD TO STEP AWAY TO SERVICE A NEW CAR PICKUP BY ANOTHER CUSTOMER AND JEFFREY ROUCCO SEAMLESSLY AND PROFESSIONALLY CAME INTO THE PROCESS AND CONTACTED MY INSURANCR CO. The sales department at this dealership was pretty nice I must say. I had read some bad reviews about their service department, but that remains to be seen as I have just got the car. The most refreshing thing was the un-necessary "pushing" attitude of the general car salesman. Victor especially had answers to all of our questions and was never too pushy. One thing I was a little disappointed about was the lack of information provided to me about the 2012 optima lx coming without a spare tire. I have not deducted a star for that because in part I hold myself liable too, for not researching the vehicle before hand, none the less it is not a very common thing, at least to my knowledge and a good salesperson should have brought our attention to it. Maybe I would have made up my mind to buy a spare myself. On the whole they did a good job. More
Vic made buying a new car less stressful than buying shoes at Nordstoms. He was very knowledgible and honest. He was extremely helpful with my decision to buy a Kia Optima. Hybrid. The car is everything he promised it would be and more. Vic went over the purchase with great detail and gave me a great deal. Todd was also very easy to deal with. He was not your usual hardsell financial man. The transaction was smooth and I got a great trade-in for my car. I picked up my car on Friday night and Vic went over every option in great detail with the patience of a saint. I have not had a new car in 12 years and controls have changed a little since then. Vic and Todd are true gentlemen and I would not hesitate recommending them to my friends and family. Mr. Karp is very lucky to have two such dedicated employees. I just returned home with my new pre-owned 2009 Kia Optima and wanted to post my review of this Kia Dealership and their staff. Car shopping has never been a favorite activity of mine and writing reviews is not something I usually do, even when the service is good. However, I am making the exception for Karp Kia of Rockville Center, NY because they really deserve the praise. What impressed me most about this dealer was that once I explained what my needs were and how much I could comfortably afford, no one tried to talk me into a more expensive package that was not right for my present needs. When it became clear that my credit score would prevent me from taking advantage of current Kia financing options, Todd Johnson (Business Manager) researched and presented me with a very acceptable alternative that provided me a low interest rate auto loan. The Sales & Leasing Consultant I worked with, Jonathan Hernandez, was conscious of my need to get into a car as soon as possible (I had been without transportation for several weeks). Jonathan worked with me via email and telephone to get all the necessary paperwork completed and submitted. From the time I decided on a pre-owned 2009 Kia Optima, it took less than a week to complete my purchase. As I stated before, I rarely write reviews or respond to feedback requests but the service I received at Karp Kia warranted my making they effort. More
I had researched the car and was actually set on buying it at a dealership closer to me in MD. The drive was about 5 hours and I wasn't expecting the car to look as nice being a used 2011 Chevy Cruze at a Kia dealer. The car looked better than expected and even my father was surpised how good the car looked. Michael Diakanwa greeted us both and was very knowledgable about the car which was a trade-in on one of his sales. He was able to answer all the questions I had about the car and provide additional information he knew about the car. After a test drive and quick inspection I was more than happy to buy the car and head back home. Michael Diakanwa was professional, courteous and he helped make the experiene at Karp an enjoyable one. More

My salesperson Victor Travaglianti was so very helpful and accommodating from the time I stepped through the door. The manager even stop by the desk and said good morning and shook our hands. As I drove off I was congratulated and received handshakes and waves like it was a comericial. I will DEFINATELY do business with them again and recommend to ALL my friends and anyone else I even overheard looking to purchase a Kia. Thank you soooooo much guys for the best experience EVER!! This was my first experience of purchasing a new car. With my good friend Chris, I went the rounds of dealerships to look at, price, and, pardon me, Butt check the seating of many of the new vehicles ava With my good friend Chris, I went the rounds of dealerships to look at, price, and, pardon me, Butt check the seating of many of the new vehicles available. I suffer from back pain, so I was looking at crossover type s that would allow me to be seated in a more upright position. At many places we were followed closely by salesmen who seemed to be reciting their lessons of memorized trivia as fast as possible in case I might be won over by resale value or crash test results. when we were rather clear that I really didn't care about that, and was checking for comfort at that time. One gentleman kept pushing the keys at me and insisting that I start it. I said , "I hope I can assume that it starts." At Karp Kia, my friend Chris told me that he Knew Vic from his own search for a car. When Vic saw us he came over and greeted Chris and met me as the customer. We told him we were looking around, and he left us alone to do so. Other salesmen came towards us, asking if we needed help and when told no, left us alone. So I got to talk to my friend as we looked at the many models available. I liked the Sportage most and especially the silver and black one. I liked that I noticed the options package was standard with all the newest technology included. When we came back the next day to test drive some of the models, Vic was very friendly and he answered my questions and offered the knowledge that mattered to me instead of making a speech. Now we came to the making a deal part. I cracked my knuckles and put on my game face. However, Vic just presented me with a great deal that fit my stringent budget. And get this ... he let me leave to think it over! Well it wasn't too hard to decide, with the Kia, I got a great deal on the Sportage , and I wouldn't have to break the budget or worse take a stripped down model that wouldn't really seem like a new car at all. So I have to say that my experience with Vic at Karp Kia was excellent on all levels and I love my new car. More
