They dealer traded to get my car for me and I picked it up on Saturday and couldn't be happier. Got the RAV4 I wanted! I am very pleased with the deal I received from Johnson City Toyota. I shopped online for the best price on a 2016 RAV4 for a couple of days. I talked I am very pleased with the deal I received from Johnson City Toyota. I shopped online for the best price on a 2016 RAV4 for a couple of days. I talked to dealers in GA, NC, OH, SC, and AL. My previous two vehicles were purchased out of state due to better pricing elsewhere. On Saturday morning I contacted Dylan at JC Toyota and was informed they received a RAV4 on the truck the night before with the exact color and options I was looking for. Johnson City Totota went out of their way to make the deal and that says a lot about this dealership. It was refreshing to be able to buy a car locally again. There was a slight misunderstanding during negotiation, but the staff was professional and did what they could to make it right. Most of all, I got the exact Toyota I wanted for a competitive price. They assisted me in my decision without any undue pressure. It was nice to deal with this well adversed, friendly staff. More
Inconsiderate sales force/manager My car (2007 Rav4) was scheduled for an oil change at 11:10 am and as I had to wait on my car, I decided to walk around the car lot. There was one ca My car (2007 Rav4) was scheduled for an oil change at 11:10 am and as I had to wait on my car, I decided to walk around the car lot. There was one car I was looking at and a salesman came over and asked if I wanted to look at the inside. As I had about 45 minutes to wait, I thought why not; and then I took a test drive. The car was okay; but I was not in the market for a new car. The salesman asked me to wait a minute to see what he could offer. His offer was way out of my price range. The salesman then wanted to show me another car, one which he said had more leeway in "dealing". The car was okay; but again, I was not in the market for a new car. At this time my car's service was complete. I paid for the service and the salesman said I would be reimbursed for the service if I left with a new car. The price, again, was out of my range. I told the salesman my grandson (age 13) was at home alone and I had to go. He asked me again to wait a moment to see what he could do. I know now I should have been rude and said sorry, I have to go; but I was trying to be courteous. This back and forth went on for about two more hours. At this point, I was extremely hungry, my grandson was calling to see when I would be home. I told the salesman I had to go and he asked for me to wait once again and brought out the sale manager who talked about another hour trying to get me to buy or lease the car. As I had had nothing to eat all day, my mental capacity was not as sharp as it should have been. Again, I told the salesman and manager that I needed to go as I was hungry and my grandson had been home all day by himself. I should have left; but I agreed to a lease on a car I really did not need just to get home. Then - they rushed me to clean out my car, the salesman helped me as he had a funeral to attend; by saying he cleaned out the glove compartment and doors. I was so glad to get out of there - at this time it was 5:00 or 5:15. I went home and realized the salesman had not cleaned out the glove box or the doors. I had some important legal papers in my glove box and had to return to the dealership to get them. AND I was not reimbursed for the service that was performed on my car. I have purchased several cars in the past; but never have I been treated like I was being interrogated and could not leave. I have driven Toyotas for the past 18 years and am sold on the quality of the cars; but do not recommend this dealership. More
