Glenn, it appears that we had a miscommunication with you, and we are very sorry for that. When you asked for a pre-certification inspection, we should have told you what was involved with that process. Running codes is not part of the pre-certification unless the Check Engine light is on. It was never on during the time we had the vehicle. If it were, we would have contacted you to ask if we could do that analysis. The price you were charged was the amount for us to perform the 172-Point Inspection needed for the Gold Certification level for pre-owned Ford models. We did not just do a state inspection; our technician spent time going through the checklist, which is part of the service you paid for. We never had an issue starting the vehicle; therefore, there was no reason to check that. Because of your review, we have learned that we need to explain precisely what the pre-certification service consists of to confirm customer expectations. For this, we appreciate you posting your review.
