My 2016 Ram had a bad caliper that was locking up on the rotor and had severely overheated, on a 3.5 hour trip to buy a used bike with trailer and trade-in bike in tow. Though JHCDJR had to locate some par rotor and had severely overheated, on a 3.5 hour trip to buy a used bike with trailer and trade-in bike in tow. Though JHCDJR had to locate some parts at other dealers, they worked me in and had my truck repaired by day's end. I had just enough time to pick up the newer bike (the motorcycle dealer owner waited on me) and made the long trek home and was actually home before midnight. I waited about 6 hours in the waiting room with an 70" TV and plenty of water and snacks. They checked on me many times, kept me informed and asked if I needed the shuttle many times. I never like to tie up the shuttle unless I have no choice. I hadn't eaten lunch but just hit the snacks a few times and was good to go. Sanford is lucky to have this dealership. The motorcycle dealer let me leave my trailer and bike in their fence till my truck was repaired. First class people all the way. I appreciated it from them both. More
Dealership was simply asked to change a battery. I receive an invoice showing that they took the liberty to change the oil. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They also left the interior of the car filthy. My husband and I have been taking our car here since before Heister bought the dealership. We scheduled a routine oil change appointment for after a vacation. This vehicle was left in our garage during before Heister bought the dealership. We scheduled a routine oil change appointment for after a vacation. This vehicle was left in our garage during the vacation. Upon returning the car didn’t start. A quick jump got the car running again. We added a battery check to the oil change appointment. A multi-point inspection was performed, and it indicated battery health was good. Service department told us that the problem was the starter. We scheduled an appointment for 10 days later to have the starter replaced. We dropped the car off the night before the appointment. I received a call at 1pm that my car was ready. My husband called back to pay over the phone as we would be picking the car up after work and the service department would be closed by then. When we arrived, the car wouldn’t start. We tried jumping it without luck. We had to leave the car there. It wasn’t until the next day we received a text informing us that the battery was dead, and they had tried charging the battery. A new battery was now recommended. How did the battery life go from good to needs replacement in 10 days? Did we actually need a new starter? Why did no one inform us the battery was dead when they told us the car was ready or when we paid? We never heard from the service advisor assigned to us. We have lost all trust in the service department. More
