Broken Word and Blatant Rudiness My review has little to do with the purchase of my vehicle and everything to do with it's aftermath. The vehicle we purchased was a used trade-in car My review has little to do with the purchase of my vehicle and everything to do with it's aftermath. The vehicle we purchased was a used trade-in car that they were selling online for a good deal. We went out and bought it immediately, cash, and signed the paperwork. If it had ended there, I would give this place at least 4 stars, maybe more. Unfortunately, our car had a problem once we bought it. As we drove it home, the check engine light came on. We live roughly an hour away from them, but engine trouble is pretty serious, so we called them up to see if there was anything we could do. They said they'd look at it since we literally just took it home and off we went. It turned out to be a problem with the sensors in the engine involving the thermostat. It'd need a good reflashing of the computer, but they had a Chevy dealership they could send it to fix it. They said there was nothing they could do otherwise, but they managed to make the light turn off and offered to fix it for free if it happened again. It was an incredibly kind offer and we thanked them for their helpfulness and kindness. Fast forward to last week and the check engine light came back on. We called the dealership, remembering their promise. We explained the problem and the situation and they told us to bring it in at our earliest convenience, which we did. After spending the time to drive it up, we waited awhile in their lobby before we put it in. They looked at it today and said that there was nothing they could do, but send it to their Chevy dealer (which we knew and explained when we put it in). Afterwards, they wanted to know if we were willing to pay. "No," I said, "we were told that we would get it for free by the salesperson who sold us the car." After some time of looking for this person on both their end as well as mine, my wife, the car owner and the person who bought for the car as well as primarily dealt with the salesperson. She called for her and was told she would get on it. She promptly hung up the phone on my wife and within seconds, called my phone. Now, my wife and I were in the same room at the time, and Andrea calls me and tells me that she was going to look into it after talking to me a bit more. Why did she call me and tell me all of this when my wife, the actual car owner and person whose name is on the account and vehicle, was rudely hung up on and ignored. My wife was shocked and upset at this turn of events. After another hour, my wife gets a call from the technician saying there's nothing he can do without us paying for it as we bought it 'as is'. Furious, we came to pick up the vehicle and take it somewhere else to get it fixed. When we arrived, they tried to charge us a towing fee as well as service when neither me nor my wife authorized any paid services. Standing firm, they waved the charges and we went our way. If anything. I can praise the service center for its professionalism and respect in dealing with our problems. As for us, we are never EVER going to buy another vehicle at Joe Cooper Ford in Yukon as our saleswoman, Andrea Robertson, blatantly lied to us about the free repair (a promise that cost us two afternoons and two tanks of gas) as well as rudely hanging up on my wife to immediately call me about the issue she was on the phone with for my wife. I don't care how good a deal your cars are and I don't care how reliable they may be, I can not trust a dealership that is willing to employ people who make careless promises. I guarantee, we will never shop here again and we will tell every person we know so they too know not to shop here as well. More
