I purchased a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in January/February. Really wanted a Dodge Durango but could t get one in my price range, test drove the jeep and I liked it. After about 3 months of having it I had to turn it into the service department as my engine light came on. Here something I’m the transmission was failing, they fixed it after having my car for almost 2 weeks. Get it back and didn’t think any thing of it , few months pass by and it happens again. Turn my car in again and here I now need a new transmission.. I had to call to get updated on my own vehicle. Luckily I do have the warranty so I don’t have to pay. I got lucky to have a friend lend me a car for a little bit until it gets fixed. I call after about 8 days now of having my car and still can’t get an eta in when I’m gonna get it back. Finally find out not for over a month! I was asked how “un drivable “ was my car? Really . I have 2 kids, work a full time job and you want me to drive my car around until the transmission comes in???!! How is that safe? What if something happens that causes an accident hurts myself or someone else!!! So I called my sales person that I went through to get this car and I’m fed up. Pretty sure these cars go through a 5 point Inspection, there is only 50,000 miles on this jeep! I wanted to a trade in or find a way to get my car back fixed properly this time. I have to give my friends car back soon and I don’t have anything. Was told can get a rental but hard bc they have to find one and here they only cover 5-7 days… not happy with Shorkeys at all! Not to mention I have to call them to find out what’s going on and no one is reaching out to me!!!no one has called me back like they said they would. I have been more than patient rearranging my schedule and my kids schedule for this. Then when you do call you don’t get treated real well, just that oh well I’ll look into it and no one has. I understand everyone is busy! Trust me I work in the vet field. It’s not fun! But come on!!!!!! More

Very disappointed. Negotiated a deal on the phone. Got there after a 2 hour drive from PIttsburgh to find out they wouldn’t honor the trade value they offered me. The Sales Manager didn’t even offer an ex there after a 2 hour drive from PIttsburgh to find out they wouldn’t honor the trade value they offered me. The Sales Manager didn’t even offer an explanation or try to make up for it another way. He basically said “oh well. Bye”. Terrible experience. More
The finance manager added paper work on very expensive coverage I specifically stated I did not want, when I brought it to the dealerships attention 2 days later, they refused to make the situation right. coverage I specifically stated I did not want, when I brought it to the dealerships attention 2 days later, they refused to make the situation right. $1500 charge. As for the vehicle itself, there were new brake pads put over bad rotors which hid the fact it they needed replaced for a short time, and beyond that, when I had service look over a vibration/transmission shift issue I was having, they misdiagnosed the problem while it was still with-in the 3 month/3,000 warranty, ultimately costing me thousands of dollars. My recommendation on Jim Shorkey Youngstown would be to shop elsewhere. More
Stay away from this dealership. They mislead you and lie. They told me they would give me 1600 for my trade-in. I told the the Honda store offered me 1600 for my trade. The sales guy at shorkey. Plus make 3payments too. So I assumed it would go through. Later I looked after I signed contract got home. Say only 800.00 for my trade in. My fault. Should nit have signed contract. Was mislead. Buyers remorse. They should offer pay me 800.00. But nothing I can do now. My fault. Sadd practice. Stay away from this dealership More

Thomas Jacobs, at the Austintown location took great care of me. I had limited resources, but he did not give in. Instead, he educated me and spent a lot of time with finances, management, and the best ways of me. I had limited resources, but he did not give in. I asked him time and time again and cried to him on the phone and last thing he said was he has to figure something out then dodged all my calls and hasn’t picked up since. Nobody should ever go here because not even a couple days after when something extremely inconvenient happens to make it to where you can’t pay for it anymore they still won’t help you out. They won’t help anybody. Greedy selfish people at this place. They don’t care to make you happy, they only care about filling their own pockets. When I was trying to fill out paperwork it was just sign sign sign no time to ready anytning through, I trusted them to take care of everytning I trusted they wouldn’t screw me over... what do they hit me with ? 25% INTEREST RATE! I HAVE GOOD CREDIT NO WAY I SHOULDVE GOTTEN THAT EITHER ! Of course I didn’t even realize the interest rate until the next morning which is my own fault but either way I got totally screwed over by this place and I wouldn’t ever recommend anybody to this store. This was the best way I bought a car and my first Dodge. All negotiations were done by email, no haggling between you the sales representative and the sales manager .
