I bought my Mazda CX-5 from Jim Bass and have taken it to them for servicing ever since. Had a great experience at Jim Bass, UNTIL it was time to buy my second truck from them. Salesman Clint, was great, communicated well over the phone and even looked around several places to find the right tr buy my second truck from them. In my initial search, Jim Bass employees told me several times (in multiple conversations), that they require a $500 deposit to order a truck. After 2 weeks of searching, I couldn't find the truck I was looking for. So, I called good ol' Clint, and told him I was ready to order. Clint calls me back and says "management has to charge you a $2,000 deposit now" because its an "odd ball" truck and that its "too expensive to sell for an XLT." Whoever heard of such bull? What a way to treat your salesperson and your customers. Had I known how these folks were, I wouldn't buy a ford pinto from them. Darn sure wouldn't work there if they turned away all the customers I had that returned to me. I’m absolutely disgusted at the poor quality displayed here at Jim Bass, and I wouldn’t recommend to an ugly wet dog that their lot is a decent place to take a leak. BTW folks, don't buy a truck from a dealer that requires a deposit. I called Weber Motor Company near my hometown in Cuero, Tx, and got the truck I wanted. Ordered at no deposit cost. More
