The customer service at Jersey city Kia service station is non existent. It took quite a while to finally obtain an appt. I travelled a distance as my car had service coverage at this location, or so I tho is non existent. It took quite a while to finally obtain an appt. I travelled a distance as my car had service coverage at this location, or so I thought. Upon arrival I started the air was for an oil change, a recall and the 16,000 maintenance check. I also asked what would be charged. They said they would let me know. I never left the service station. They never communicated until they stated my car was done. I was provided Bill. I stated I wanted to give them a coupon I received. The attendant stated the bill was already completed and I needed to have provided it prior. I explained no one ever communicated prior to completing the paperwork. Additionally, I didn’t think I would be charged. Upon review, they charged me for the oil change. When questioned, the worker made no eye contact and stated your coverage ended on 1/21. Once again, no one upon booking the appt, nor while I waited for almost 2 hours communicated this information. They also refused to honor my $15 Kia service coupon. I traveled from Westchester for no reason. They didn’t even complete the maintenance check. The last time I was there, I received a call after leaving. I was almost on the NJ turnpike when I was asked to return. They stated they saw oil on the floor and wanted to reexamine the car. Thank god I made it back. The service guy stated it’s popping off. This is always happening. That was so concerning. The rep assured me that was taken out of context. I didn’t not write a negative review the previous experience. I thought it was an isolated incident. Now I see it wasn’t. I paid for service I should’ve that should’ve been covered. No communication not regard for the consumer. Non verbal communication like rolling of eyes is not appropriate in any professional setting, especially toward the consumer. Two very unpleasant experiences, one that could’ve led to an unsafe outcome. More
Went there to fact finding mission, My fiancée has a lease up in March of this year and I want see the New Kia Forte Gt. Jessica greeting me I told I work locally and my fiancée & myself are looking to lease up in March of this year and I want see the New Kia Forte Gt. Jessica greeting me I told I work locally and my fiancée & myself are looking to move up this way and so my fiancée works up here so with that being said we wanna buy from a local place. So she proceeded to show me the car, I asked to know what a lease or finance would like, she said well it would $5000 over sticker,(MSRP) plus a $595 for dealer etch, plus $795 for pdi, I’m sorry but that to me was absurd to charge me that much $ over sticker also when the car was brand not a rare care she stated there is not many out there I said I live currently near another Kia dealer that had several in their inventory plus pdi is included on ALL NEW CARS,plus I didn’t want the etch. Talk about shady stuff so I will not buy a car from Jersey City Kia, Ever I will tell all my friends family fans what happened, I contacted the better business bureau,Kia corporate I wrote google review too. A day later I got a call from Jessica and she told me that her manager will wave those fees. Too late, Transparncey More
I bought my KIA Sportage Hybrid at “Jersey City Kia” dealership located in Jersey City, NJ. The problem started right after I signed the contract. Firstly, I was appalled to discover that the dealershi dealership located in Jersey City, NJ. The problem started right after I signed the contract. Firstly, I was appalled to discover that the dealership attempted to sneak in additional fees, totaling $1400, into the contract without my knowledge or consent. It was only after I carefully reviewed the contract at home that I noticed these unauthorized charges. They also underpaid for my trade-in car by a $1000 of a price that was agreed upon. This discrepancy only came to light after I carefully examined the contract at home. This deceptive practice was an attempt to scam me out of my hard-earned money. Upon returning to the dealership and demanding a resolution, the staff only agreed to redo the contract after I threatened LEGAL ACTION. Secondly, the dealership exhibited a blatant disregard for honesty and transparency. I purchased a new vehicle and entrusted the dealership with the responsibility of registering it on my behalf. However, they continuously lied to me about the registration process, attributing the delay to the DMV. Frustrated by the prolonged delay, I took the initiative to contact the DMV myself, only to discover that the car HAD NEVER BEEN REGISTERED! It was only when I confronted the dealership and threatened LEGAL ACTION ONCE AGAIN that they finally took action. This level of deceit is not only disconcerting but also undermines the trust I placed in Kia and its authorized dealers. Thirdly, the dealership failed to provide me with the necessary inspection sticker or any instructions on how to obtain it. Consequently, I was unknowingly driving without the proper documentation, which resulted in me being fined. This NEGLIGENCE on the part of the dealership is both unacceptable and avoidable. It is the responsibility of the dealership to ensure that all necessary documentation is provided to customers, and their failure to do so has resulted in unnecessary inconvenience and financial penalties. When I contacted KIA regarding those issues, I got NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER! I sent requests to customer care and wrote letters to KIA America headquarters, but no one EVER contacted me. Customer service is nonexistent with this company and if you ever need it you’re on your own. The company just doesn’t care what the local dealership do. They also tell you that they have the best warranty in America but what they won’t tell you that it’s virtually impossible to get your car serviced when something breaks. For example, scheduling an appointment with the local service station in Staten Island: one month waiting time. ONE MOTNTH! So good luck to you if something is broken in your car, you’ll be waiting for a month until they even get to diagnose the issue. To sum it up: DO NOT BUY KIA! I made that mistake once and I’ll never gonna do it again! More
