The transmission went out on my new Equinox at 2571 miles. While I am now very concerned about the dependability of Chevrolet (This is the first time I've purchased an American vehicle in 30 years .. miles. General Motors replaced the transmission and put me in a rental car during the 10 days I was without my car. Everyone has been helpful, so it's not about customer service with GM or the dealer. I'm just skeptical now about this vehicle. It was not inexpensive since I purchased a fully-loaded V6. Time will tell. If I had one complaint about the dealership it was that I had to keep calling them to find out the status of the repairs. I was promised a call-back from Sale Manager . . . didn't call me. When I did call, the service department always returned my calls promptly. It is hard to rate the Quality of work, since I've only had the car back a few days. It seems to be running fine. I'm driving it to Toronto next week and that will be the test of the workmanship. More
