Worst customer service...EVER! Let me try to make my horrible experience with Jeff Gordon Chevrolet as short a story as possible. Let's begin with me going to purchase a vehicle from them. The Salesmen Brett was a nice guy, but not trained and it was obvious his sales managers, oblivious to my needs, were pushing him to push ME into a car. I even felt bad for the guy a little. I eventually ended up buying from him and grew to love my car. I thought it had alignment problems, and they did align it which helped with the shaking in the steering some, but I returned it a few weeks later with same complaint. The shaking had not completely ceased. At my 30 day check up I was told I needed front and back rotors. (Why it was shaking since the BEGINNING!) Now, I'm not new to the car industry. First time buyer, but I suspected that I was buying from a reputable dealership not LOVITT'S or any other lemon-selling car lot that doesn't give a crap about their customer! I know that in a matter of weeks I didn't wear down the brakes and rotors on that car. They also told me that my rotors couldn't be shaved they would only be replaced. I asked for HARD COPY of inspection I know HAS to be done before you sell a car and it was PROVEN that whoever did the inspection fibbed (in pencil) the inspection. The back was so much a lie that they had no choice but to admit their fault and replace. Do you think they would do the opposite the same? NO! And of course when THEY were paying for it, they shaved down the rotors, but when I was quoted for the front it was reiterated to me that they could only REPLACE the rotors. I had that taken care of elsewhere needless to say. Around the same time that I was experiencing the shaking I noticed every once in awhile my car would shut off while I was idling at a light or stop sign. Intermittently of course and they of course couldn't duplicate it, nor was there a light showing. I was told repeatedly (as I took it there repeatedly) that they didn't have a Chrysler tech so they had no way of knowing what was going on with the vehicle! So much for finding out, or even driving the car over to Chrysler themselves to reduce hassle for me, considering I bought from them and all. NOPE! Couldn't get THAT upset about it because they couldn't duplicate it though. Fast forward to it starting to run rough. Check engine light came on. I was quoted $600 worth of work that MIGHT be the problem. EVAP canister (which I was told wouldn't cause it to cut off or run rough), throttle body cleaned, and tune up. But was reminded they weren't Chrysler techs and that it may not fix the problem. I couldn't get it done at the time. And service engine light never came back on so no other mechanic can even tell that was the problem, and I was told elsewhere if it hasn't come back on it may not need to be replaced. Fast forward to today. My engine (distinctly the engine) is making a loud roaring noise and even clicks sometimes. I've had two belts replaced in engine that most likely would have been covered by the extended power train warranty that I purchased, but of course no reimbursement. You would think they would take the time to dig into these things right? NOPE! Not even if you bought there! So today I was told by a new service writer I've never dealt with to take it to Chrysler! And it's not a member of the Hendrick automotive group (where the warranty was purchased), the closest one to guarantee that is Fayetteville and I could feel free to take it there. Of course I won't know until I get to Chrysler whether they'll except my warranty or not! At least the Wilmington Chrysler dealership has good customer service! It's a wonder so many dealerships get so much of Jeff Gordon's business. And it's not like they care! They get their money, and spit you out. They certainly don't care about customer retention, at least not from what I've seen or heard. Here's a clue, if you won't service them, don't sell them! And I'd rather you kick me off your lot then sell me a piece of crap just to push it off the lot when I'm trusting in your name! I understand 'As is', but what's the point of purchasing a warranty if you won't even LOOK to see if it's something that will be covered? I'm sure Jeff Gordon himself, if he knew the way that place was run would remove his name. I'm trying my hardest to contact as high up as I can go about this. If that car wasn't ready to hit the lot they should have never sold it to me. Evidently they were in such a rush to get rid of it, they didn't even really check the brakes, so I wonder what else they could have lied about? Of course when I ask for management info, the service writer Mark (or Mike) told me to go online. And of course online is only the main number! They answer the phone with "Hello?" and I'm confused on whether I'm calling a business or not, and then I'm put on hold then hung up on. Outstanding customer service, let me tell you! METHINKS NOT! Disapointed I trusted them very well they were really good to me, but I had both sets of my keys in my car when getting an appraisel and they kept one by mistake. I trusted them very well they were really good to me, but I had both sets of my keys in my car when getting an appraisel and they kept one by mistake. They lost the key and Said they never took it. They won't replace it. I tried calling for months and everytime they said they would look for it but never called back. I know I went up there with two keys. I'm satisfied with the the business, but I don't trust them anymore. It's ashame they lost a great costumer. :( More

EVERY Too many problems to list ... Service is the WORST In town!!! I hate that you do not have the choice to get your vehicle serviced at Bob King. EVERY time I have been here I have had nothing but problems. Its too bad the service department does not even compare to the sales dept. Too many visits back and forth and problem not fixed correctly and to make matters worse had an appointment and when I got there they told me they didn't have time to service my vehicle . A phone call would have been nice so I wouldn't have arranged my schedule and wasted my time. Roxanne Purdy is a joke!! Can not understand how she is in that position. More
I came into Jeff Gordon Chevy trying to buy a new Camaro. 3 times I came in the last 3 years. Every time, oh we have a problem with this. Oh we have a problem with that! They kept throwing numbers at me and 3 times I came in the last 3 years. Every time, oh we have a problem with this. Oh we have a problem with that! They kept throwing numbers at me and trying to tell me it was a fair price! I didn't want them to see my credit. They pushed me and finally got me to run my credit. I am making decent money and trying to get my credit better. I also needed a new car. Didn't want one I didn't like. I am fed up! Go to another Chevy dealer. These may act like they are your best friends but I will be getting my Camaro elsewhere! More

When I arrived for the meeting they said they had elected not to work on my car and to take it elsewhere.I, Having considerable industry knowledge, felt that three hours was a stretch and there wasn't three hours of diagnostics necessary , perhaps an hour at the longest. That is why I questioned the quote, and from their response they were basing their estimate on a fair amount of embellishment and inaccuracy provided by their Tech. I feel I caught them in a compromising situation, an inflated diagnostic quote, and rather than work with me they said they would not work on the car. I wonder if this is the business model that made Mr. Hendrick rich or one that he doesn't know about. These people are arrogant with a very poor business acumen, Stay away ! Something is wrong there. Everything about my visit and Steve Benjamin was top notch and professional. I purchased a new 2013 Silverado 1500 and the extra incentives and work that Steve put into the transaction to make it work w notch and professional. I purchased a new 2013 Silverado 1500 and the extra incentives and work that Steve put into the transaction to make it work went above and beyond a typical car buying experience. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and most importantly for me - he was NOT pushy. This is my second purchase at this dealership and every trip I've made there so far has been excellent. Once a buyer makes the decision to purchase a vehicle, they take it from there and have each step down to a science. I could not imagine a simpler and more fulfilling car buying experience. The follow-up service is just as good as they offer free car washes and VIP treatment whenever service is needed. This dealership truly is what the rest of them purport to be. More
My name is Tina Hargis, I recently purchased a used Malibu Max from a salesman named Stephen Benjamin. As a first time car buyer (solo) I had no idea what I was doing or what to expect. Stephen was mor Malibu Max from a salesman named Stephen Benjamin. As a first time car buyer (solo) I had no idea what I was doing or what to expect. Stephen was more than informative; he cared about my situation and helped me purchase what was best for me. I trusted him and the dealership to act on my behalf when it came to some mechanical work that needed to be done. Regardless of how small or big the job was, Stephen kept in contact with me on a daily basis with a play by play of what was taking place. I had a great experience and would not hesitate to purchase from here again as well as recommend to friends & family. More

Great place to buy a car from. Our sales Rep. Brett went above and beyond for us. He took my wife to the DMV and waited for Her to take her road test.
