I would like to tell you about my experience while visiting your VW dealership in Downingtown with my 17-year-old son on 1/1/2024. We are looking for a car for his 18th birthday. When we entered the VW dealership at approximately 1pm, we immediately heard “where are you going?’ I replied “here”, at this point I’m confused, because with 5 or 6 men sitting behind the front desk, I didn’t know who I was talking to. A gentleman then asked me “what am I looking for” and I replied and VW Jetta for my son. At this point no one welcomed me and my son and introduced themselves. I then heard (before I knew his name, Walter Konyk) say that he could help me. Walter walked to the back and came back with key and said follow me. We went outside and he opened the doors to a silver Jetta and said take a look. By now I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in this dealership, but I did not want to ruin this for my son. After my son sat inside the vehicle he asked if we could test drive the car, Walter stated, “I guess” and asked for my driver license. Once inside the dealership we sat at Walters desk as he began to input my license information. Walter then asked me “Do you live in Philadelphia and use an XXXX address to get cheaper insurance?” I was immediately taken aback by the question and responded that I gave you a valid Pa issued driver’s license and to please use the address on the license. At this point maybe 15 minutes into the visit, I as Walter for his card, Walter then extended his hand and introduced himself. Again, I didn’t want to spoil my son’s experience, but my thought was to just get up and leave. Walter took us on a test drive and after we returned to the dealership, he seemed not to be interested in trying to make a sale. I asked Walter to please print up the sticker price of a VW Jetta Sport and show me any discounts that can be applied to that particular vehicle. Walter retuned and gave me a Work Sheet with only the VW Jetta Sports MSRP, and associated fees with the purchase of the vehicle, no discount. I had had enough, so I thanked Walter and my son, and I left the dealership. Once my son and I got to our vehicle, my son asked me why Walter asked me if we were from Philadelphia and why we received such a cold reception. With all of this said, my son and I’s experience in your dealership was less than pleasant, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. Our reception was cold and unwelcoming, Walter was unprofessional and biased. This email does not come close to expressing the horrible service me and my son were exposed to by the employees of this dealership. My hope with this email is that anyone involved in this interaction on January 1st, learns to keep their person bias to themselves when working with the public and treat everyone with the respect that we all deserve until shown or proven otherwise. More

All I needed was an oil change, a coolant top off and I had an appt for 10:00 am... I have been here for 2 and a half hours!!! Unbelievable.... how long would it take without an appr???? A whole day? We received a very fair deal on a really nice 2019 SportWagen. Driving from Columbus, Ohio to (nearly) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was the best use of time and milage in the entire of our SportWagen SportWagen. Jeff D'Ambrosio Volkswagen and Kenny Ortiz were nothing short of amazing. We were in the market for a specific Volkswagen model and we had VERY negative experiences with other dealers. It really was a pleasure working with a dealership and a sales representative who were respectful, mannerly, knowledgable, and honest. I cannot praise D'Ambrosio and Mr. Ortiz enough. They went out of their way to meet our schedule and presented a VW that was far better than any that we had seen to date and at a decidedly fair price. We drove over 350 miles to have the best experience that we could imagine at D'Ambrosio VW. Sometimes the deal comes to you. Sometimes you have to go to the deal. Working with D'Ambrosio and Kenny Ortiz were DEFINITELY worth the time and effort. And we got the car that we wanted at a fair price and in better condition than we had expected. I’ve only ever worked with the service department at this dealership. Our service writer, Jason, Garrison is one of a kind. He never fails to get us in when we need to have something done. Even when we’ve w dealership. Our service writer, Jason, Garrison is one of a kind. He never fails to get us in when we need to have something done. Even when we’ve waited till the very last minute for inspection or brakes, he gets us in and gets us out quickly. We are two Tiguan family, I drive one and my 23-year-old daughter does as well. D'Ambrosio VW, Downingtown -RUN! !!! I own a VW Tiguan and it started having issues right after having breaks put on with pulsating when braking. I thought I found the right dealers !!! I own a VW Tiguan and it started having issues right after having breaks put on with pulsating when braking. I thought I found the right dealership/garage, I was SO wrong! After bringing it in several times and not getting results, I reached out to the Service Manager. He did not return my calls. I end up reaching out to the General Manager to get results. We agreed to give them the car while I was on vacation. They had the car for the week and called the day before our return. Said there was a nail in a side wall, and then up-selled on fluid changes. Needless to say we picked up the car, paid for a new tire and fluid changes. Two days later the tire light came back on. They forgot to the put the NEW tire that we paid for on. Infact, we dont believe they did anything but charged us. The GM and owner will not return our email and phone calls. They are Shady STAY away if you are smart!:-) I could have been injured driving on a bad tire. They had even said it was undriveable. NO return calls or emails speaks volumes about who you are dealing with. Driver beware! 2019 Tiguan Driver More
