The tow truck driver took my Ford to the body shop after an accident. I was told it would take “a couple of weeks” to fix because it was the holiday season. It took 47 days to get my vehicle back. Three minutes after leaving the lot with my car a Service Engine light came on that I had never seen before. I spoke with Karl in the body shop who told me to bring it back the next day. I did, and Karl revealed 15 warning codes were popping. He told me that he’d have a hard time getting my insurance company to pay for fixing these because they wouldn’t be considered “accident related.“ My boyfriend told Karl that we had never seen the light before the accident so it must be related to the accident. Karl said, “I have no way to know that’s true,” implying that we were lying. My boyfriend also told Karl that there were pieces of my car and broken glass from the accident scene piled up on the floor behind the driver’s seat when we picked up the car, to which Karl simply said, “I thought I checked that.” Karl said if we could find a certified mechanic to put in writing that it was accident related, we could bring it back and Jack Maxton would fix it. Karl suggested that I take my vehicle to Krieger Ford and try to get the additional repairs covered under my manufacture warranty. I scheduled my vehicle to be serviced at Krieger. When I dropped my vehicle off to them I explained the situation. Krieger’s service tech looked over the paperwork provided to me by Jack Maxton and said she was pretty sure she could already see the issue based on what Jack Maxton had stated was done in their paperwork. She said she would talk to the mechanic and be in touch the next day. When Krieger called me the next day, they confirmed that the cause of the service lights was a direct result of Jack Maxton not connecting a sensor properly during their repair process. So the lights were not a result of the accident, but were a result of the people at Jack Maxton not taking the time to properly check their work before returning the vehicle. Krieger had the problem fixed the same day, however could not release my vehicle to me until Karl provided a PO for the work Krieger performed. It took Karl TWO DAYS to do this!!! Through all of this, Karl was very elusive and difficult to get ahold of, whether it was myself, my boyfriend, or the mechanic from Krieger trying to reach him. Even after all of this, my boyfriend still had to take my vehicle back to Jack Maxton to have the hubcaps installed. When he was there, he asked to speak with Karl who once again wasn’t available. Before leaving my boyfriend told the gentleman in the office that he’d like for Karl to take the time to call me to apologize for all of the extra hoops I had to jump through to ensure that my vehicle was safe to drive, since it wasn’t clearly safe when the vehicle was released to me. I have never heard a thing from Karl in terms of an apology. The only good thing that came out of this process with Jack Maxton Body Shop is that I found Krieger Ford. I will never recommend Jack Maxton to anyone I know. More

Had my 2019 Silverado with 6,000 miles in to repair the transmission for the 5th time. After a week and a half it has started acting up again.
