This was the worse visit to a car dealer that I ever experienced in my life. Michael Champer really gives Jack Maxton a bad name. He lied, deceived, misinformed, and has no integrity. I told him up fro experienced in my life. Michael Champer really gives Jack Maxton a bad name. He lied, deceived, misinformed, and has no integrity. I told him up front what I was looking to spend and what price would fit my budget. He kept trying to wheel and deal. After spending 2 1/2 hours at his desk. I finally said, "This is not the deal that I am looking for". He continued to try and make a deal and totally ignored my concerns. (I thought he was suppose to have the customer's best interest at hand). Michael Champer acted as though this sale was his last meal. As I got up to leave the store he followed behind almost chasing me and said, "Hey, wait sit back down'. I said again, "I've given you more than enough time". He then said very angry, "that's alright I've already sold a Tahoe". I've left messages for the owner, Jeff Mauk and have not received a returned call. I called the BBB out curosity and this company has 21 complaints. Jeff Mauk needs to kiss some butt and pay attention what is going on with his staff. More
Went out looking for a used truck they just happened to have what we were looking for. We spoke with the sales person and told him out price and payment range and he assured us he could hit our marks. We t have what we were looking for. We spoke with the sales person and told him out price and payment range and he assured us he could hit our marks. We took it for a test drive and completely reviewed the truck. I asked if we could come back tomorrow because we had a few others to look at and I wanted my father to look over the truck. The dealer opened at noon on Sunday my father living an hour and half away drove down. Just before heading out around 12:30 I got a voicemail from the sales person to call him back. I attempted to call him back 6 times because if it was sold I did not want to make the extra trip out there. At 1pm we decided to head out, we arrived told three different sales associates who we wanted to talk to. Finally the sales associate we were waiting for walked out. He approached us and said "we can't make your price on this truck we have far too much into this, have a good day." When just yesterday I was told that they took it in on trade and had to do nothing too it so it shouldn’t be a problem to get it in your range. I requested to speak with his manager and we were told that he is not in yet and will call us. Monday morning I got a call from the sales dept asking if I was still interested in the truck. I told him everything that went on and that I would still like to speak with the manger or better yet the owner, but based on everything that I've seen now I'm expecting to not hear from them. More
I had a terrible experience with the Jack Maxton Dealership and would not recommend them to anyone! I had been searching for a used Envoy for quite some time. I found a used Envoy that the Jack Maxt Dealership and would not recommend them to anyone! I had been searching for a used Envoy for quite some time. I found a used Envoy that the Jack Maxton Dealership had for sale online so I called them as soon as they opened the next morning to see if they still had it. I spoke with Aaron, who is one of the sales associates for used car, and he said they still had it. I told him that I was very serious and that I was going to drive down that same day to buy it. I told him that I live four hours away in Michigan that I would be leaving right away so expect to see me in four hours. He said, " That sounds great! I have the keys right here and my hand is on the car!" I then gave him my name and number as well as my boyfriends name and number and to call us if he needed anything. Four hours later I arrived and found that the car wasn't at the lot where Aaron said it was so we had to drive another 15 miles to another one of their locations to find that it was sold. I was furious and went back and told him that it was sold and asked him what he was going to do for me after I wasted a whole day driving, gas money, and a day off work. He told me situations like this happen and that it is unfortunate and that he can't take every customer seriously. I later talked to his manager, Ron Colby, and he said that it was an unfortunate situation and asked what he could do for me. I told him that I did not want to buy a car from them I just wanted compensation for my gas money to drive four hours there and back. He said he couldn't do that but he would check and call me back. It has been a month and he has not contacted me to compensate me for any of my inconveniences. I am currently in the process of reporting Jack Maxton Dealerships to the Better Business Bureau. More
Actually bought an 05 chevy sierra online thru jack maxton. I live in GR michigan and they agreed to deliver the truck to me. Was told that this truck was in top condition and fully inspected by their maxton. I live in GR michigan and they agreed to deliver the truck to me. Was told that this truck was in top condition and fully inspected by their "mechanics". The vehicle did not even make it all the way here without needing to have the alternator replaced. I had driven the truck 10 miles and had to bring it to a local dealer because of a loud grinding noise when the 4wheel drive was engaged. Turns out the transfer case was blown because the truck had different size tires on it!! And the exhaust manifold needed repair, three bolts were broke off inside of the heads and it turns out this truck at one time had a plow on the front(a fact never disclosed to me).I tried to contact jm several times only to get voicemails. Calls were never returned. And when I finally did get thru to someone they dismissed my concerns and would not even consider taking back the vehicle that they so grossly misrepresented. I have since contacted a lawyer. Do Not buy from this dealer!!! More
We went there on Monday to check on the truck we were purchasing. The circumstances were unusual because we were purchasing through a lease company in CA. We were told on Monday that they were cleaning purchasing. The circumstances were unusual because we were purchasing through a lease company in CA. We were told on Monday that they were cleaning up the truck and repairing little dings and scratches on the truck and it would be ready for us to pick up when the paper work got completed. Because Jack Maxton didn't have a sales manager that could complete the paper work we had to wait until Tuesday. We went to sign papers and pick up truck. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO THE TRUCK. NOTHING. We were lied too. We had to wait 2 hours to even get the truck. NOTHING has been done to the truck yet. We had to have the vehicle to drive to work, we already missed TWO full days. Now we have to go back and get repairs done. We were planning to buying a 2007 Tahoe, but not now. NO WAY WOULD I EVER BUY THERE AGAIN. Donna Payne More
I asked Sylvester Hagan, salesman, for a quote over the phone. When I got to the dealership he had tacked on $800 more than the quote. When I confronted him about it, he said there was no way he could gi phone. When I got to the dealership he had tacked on $800 more than the quote. When I confronted him about it, he said there was no way he could give me the price he quoted. When I asked why then did he quote me a price he could not give me he said to get me in the store because most customers will end up paying more than the quote once they get back in the store. I then accused him of lying to me. He admitted to it and asked me what I was going to do about it. He told me if I don't like it go somewhere else because he does not care what his customers think as long as he gets the sale. When I asked for the manager, the manager supported his salesman. The letter I wrote to Jeff Mauck, owner, was mysteriously never received and I never got a response. The manager did call me back two days later to say he spoke to Sylvester, admitted his mistake and offered me the car $500 dollars above the quoted price. I rejected the offer. A day later the manager called me again and offered the vehicle at the quoted price. I told him he should have offered me the quoted price the first time before he lied to me and I bought a similar vehicle at another dealership. Jack Maxton Chevrolet cannot be trusted and should never be shopped at by anyone. More
