When your vehicle was brought to us in February the rear main oil seal was defective and the engine had lost it's oil. After we added oil the engine was still noisy and we decided not to attempt a repair. I hope that the repair you had done is the end of your problems however it is possible that the engine could have other internal damage from being run low on oil. Whenever we do a diagnosis we look at the long term repair and thought in your case it was best to replace the engine rather than make a repair to an engine that was run out of oil.
