I was in deep trouble with my old car, and Jerry went above and beyond his job duties to get me into a new car. Even though my father (co-signer) was out of town, Jerry volunteered to drive 3 hours round above and beyond his job duties to get me into a new car. Even though my father (co-signer) was out of town, Jerry volunteered to drive 3 hours round trip to meet him and get his signature, ensuring that I could have the new car as soon as possible. Jerry, thanks for being understanding and helping me out of a crisis. I'm sorry I cried on you. ;) More
I visited Maxton Chevrolet back in April interested in purchasing a Volt in the summertime. I met David Grinstead and he was very informative, and allowed me to test-drive a volt that was on the lot with purchasing a Volt in the summertime. I met David Grinstead and he was very informative, and allowed me to test-drive a volt that was on the lot without the normal pressure from a salesperson. He was very accommodating and respectful of the purchase time. I left and got a courtesy email thanking me for coming in. I then received a follow-up email later in the month of May (knowing that summer was approaching) and asking if there was anything he could do or find for me. I called and asked about one that was on the lot and he started the paperwork for me and had everything ready for me when I arrived. The entire purchase took around an hour (quickest in-and-out I have experienced buying a car, and this was my 6th new car purchase). Once that was complete, Dave sat in the car with me and explained all the controls and made sure I was comfortable with my purchase before leaving the lot. I would definitely recommend Maxton and Dave Grinstead for friends or family interested in purchasing a Chevrolet in Columbus area. More

We have worked with Casey twice to get into a car. The first time was in 2009 when we came into the dealership in a rental car since our car totalled when returning from vacation. Casey suggested a bank t first time was in 2009 when we came into the dealership in a rental car since our car totalled when returning from vacation. Casey suggested a bank that would work with us since we were hard to finance due to being in the middle of 5 year wage earners plan. We were able to use the suggested source for financing to get us back in a vehicle since we had to replace the totalled 2006 HHR. We replaced it with 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx. Since we could trust Casey to work hard with us to get a car we wanted in 2009, we decided to trust him to help us purchase a replacement car once we finished our wage earner plan. (kids getting too big for the smaller car) We now have the type of car we wanted. A 2011 Chevy Impala with leather seats and a sun roof. I plan to recommend Casey to my friends when they need to replace or buy another vehicle. Not many sales agents go as far out to help customers get into a car they choose. More
I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I THINK ALL PEOPLE INVOLVED WITH THE PURCHASE WERE VERY CONSIDERATE AND UNDERSTANDING WITH MY NEEDS, AND ALSO UNDERSTOOD WHEN I DID NOT NEED HELP. This salesman was very helpful in every way. Even though it took a little bit of time he made our visit comfortable. Explained everything with very good detail. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. it took a little bit of time he made our visit comfortable. Explained everything with very good detail. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. If he didn't know the answer he made sure he got the answer quickly. In all the years that I have been buying cars, I have never been in a dealership and treated so great. We went to Jack Maxton on a recommendation from his teacher. We do not regret it. More

I bought it for $15000 and I accepted that I was paying about $3000 to much for the truck when I bought it. I work in service so without a truck, I have no income. I was just happy that Jack Maxton was able to get me approved to buy it. So, I just went for it. About a month and a half after I purchased the vehicle, it was due for an oil change. When I was under the truck, I noticed that it had a leak from the transmission. I also noticed that it had a leak coming from a hose off of the radiator which is the oil cooler hose (easy fix). I set the truck up for Jack Maxton to take a look at it and see if they were going to fix it. So I had to schedule it on a Saturday. I took the truck over on Saturday 4/7/2012 and they start out by telling me it’s going to cost $192 just for them to look at it WITHOUT even fixing it. I told the tech that I knew where one leak was, and that it was the hose. The tech then replied that he could drop the price to $92. I just needed the truck fixed so I said ok. Half way through my work day the tech calls me and says that he found the transmission leak. He said the $600 12000 mile Warranty I bought with the truck isn't going to cover it (the Warranty plan has a $100 deductable CRAZY!). He told me he was going to contact some department over there to see if they were going to cover it and he would call me back. About an hour later he calls back and says they’re not going to cover it (which I figured as much). The leak for the transmission looks like it is coming from the gasket (also an easy fix). The tech tells me that they can fix it but it’s going to cost me $250+. I told him not to do it because I can do it for less than $75. At the end of the day I go to pick up the truck. I go over to the sales department to talk to the guy who sold me the truck. He wasn't there so they had the sales manager come talk to me. I told him I wanted to give them a review on my experience at buying my first truck. I told him that I was happy with the sale; however, I felt it was a little over priced. I agreed to the sale because they also assisted me in the approval process. Then, I start to tell him about the truck having leaks and that I was told they wouldn't cover it. Only because I was in there talking to him about the problem prompts him to decide that he will cover half the cost to fix it. That’s not why I was there. Fixing the truck isn't a hard fix. The problem is that I bought a truck from Jack Maxton, 2007 with 98,000 miles at $15000 that has a major transmission leak. I understand that I bought a used truck and I signed the papers which makes it my fault. The truck was spotless inside and out, so noticing the leak without driving it all day was something I couldn't do. I just don't have that kind of time. I figured Jack Maxton, being such a large company and ranked #1 in Ohio, wouldn't sell trucks that leak and then refuse to fix them when notified of a problem within a timely manner after sale. Unfortunately, I thought wrong. The fact is I should have looked it over more and not allow them get one by me. But I was rushed to get back to work and I slipped. They got me with $15000 because they asked me what I wanted the payments to be and I told them between $200 and $250 that was a mistake. They took that number and added to their asking price to make it in that range. I looked up my VIN number yesterday 4/10/2012 and it was still listed on Jack Maxton’s site at $12750. I don't write a review unless I feel I wasn't treated right. I feel like I've been taken advantage of, AND THEY WANTED ME TO COME BACK TO BUY MY NEXT TWO TRUCKS!!!! Customer service in the United States is a PROBLEM! (Lesson Learned) Update!! Its 4/18/2012. On 4/15/2012 I replaced the transmission filter and gasket. Witch fixed the biggest part of the transmission leak. Cost was about $60 and about 2 hrs of my time. I looked under the truck today after work. It still has a leak on the upper part of the transmission. Looks like the housing for the tork converter is leaking (hope I don't have to drop the transmission to fix it) and I noticed something else in front of the transmission. Could be back splash from the transmission but I doubt it. 5/13/2012 I had to replace the new brakes they put on kept waking my neighbors up in the morning when I was going to work. *HAD TO REPLACE BRAND NEW BRAKES* IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY CAREFUL!!
