I'm going to preface this with saying that I work in customer care and have for 15+ years, so I know full well how a good standing, paying customer should be treated. Today I took my husband's pick u customer care and have for 15+ years, so I know full well how a good standing, paying customer should be treated. Today I took my husband's pick up to SI Buick GMC for service. He had a recall, needed a tire rotation and an oil change. 2 days before, I had him make an 11am appointment and made sure he put in exactly what he needed so the team would know how much time it would take to complete the job. I showed up on time with the truck and was greeted by 2 women at the service desk. They were friendly, checked me in, and have a seat it shouldn't be long. Wonderful- I like the sound of that. Well- 6 HOURS later I was STILL in said waiting room. No one so much as looked in my direction, no hello from any workers while they passed right in front of me over and over again- nothing. After about 2 hours, and OKing the services to be completed plus a few additional items that needed to be looked at, I still had no update on an ETA. I walked out and asked what was going on and was told they're working on it. After 5 hours- I was done. I walked out and said what is going on and was answered with oh it's only going to be another 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I had to come out and ask again to find out they were finishing paperwork. The simple lack of communication between the staff to the customer turned me from a repeat buyer(as my husband is in the market for an upgrade) to someone that will never set foot back in their dealership. Had someone told me at 11am that the wait would be over an hour, I would have gladly had someone come pick me up or I would have taken an Uber home. Instead, I sat in a dirty waiting room with the TV set to whatever internal infomercials they want you watching, the options of coffee or water(no snacks or vending machines), and a staff in the back that spent more time cackling like a bunch of angry hens then working. From now on, I'll be more than happy to take my business to another dealership- one that knows how to treat their customers right! More
I found the staff to be very efficient and polite. My car was finishedwith in a timely manner, even without an appointment. The waiting area was accommodating,with complimentary coffee. I had written about them taking 4 weeks to a warranty repair, I finally got my truck back last Wed morning,it was into the 5th week. I got the truck back filthy, rocco said he cleaned it,it had greasy f repair, I finally got my truck back last Wed morning,it was into the 5th week. I got the truck back filthy, rocco said he cleaned it,it had greasy finger prints all over the hood inside and out and door handles,dirt all over the wheel rims still had dirt on them even though they sealed the tires,the engine was covered in dirt where you can write your name into it,the truck parts were placed on the ground around the truck for over 4 weeks. You would think that after taking so long that I would at least get it back cleaned.the only saving grace was when I had to deal with the woman by the name of Jackie. P.s. the excuses I got did not make sense,it took too long and I am sure they did many other trucks during this time ,but not mine,my truck was ignored for others I believe More

Small but friendly and honest with their expectations. If they can't solve the problem, they reach out to corporate for you. They respond quickly to communication and want to please.
