Incompetent all around a bad experience. The defects in the car that I repeatedly pointed out were never taken care of, despite multiple visits. Every time I retu all around a bad experience. Then the incompetent finance manager, who was only focused on selling me additional services so he could get his commission, setup my payments with wrong bank, I have now been forced to make 2 payments. I reached out to the GM and have yet to receive a phone call or email back. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS. More
Dishonest/fraud I bought a 2017 Avalon in Oct. 2017. The purchase went fairly well with a few math mistakes. After I came home, I was able to receive a service record I bought a 2017 Avalon in Oct. 2017. The purchase went fairly well with a few math mistakes. After I came home, I was able to receive a service record on my new car. Why would a new car have a service record with three repairs? And why would the dealership keep these a secret? After the shock wore off that a new car had a service record of three items, I called Toyota Corp. and reported this. They contacted Ira Toyota and I received a call from Jeff Kleiner (Sales Manager). I informed him that my car had three service records and that I should have been informed of these prior to purchasing my car. He said they did not have any responsibility to declare these. One of the repairs was for rodent infestation and he told me that it is not unusual. He informed me that they made the repair and it cost approx. $1000. I informed them that this repair was not insignificant and that my wife has asthma and I was concerned about her exposure. I also told him that I probably wouldn't have bought the car if I had known this. All I asked him for was if Ira would pay to have a repair shop with this kind of experience recheck the damage. He said no and also informed me that the wires in these cars can suffer damage as well because they are made with a product that mice like to feed on. I asked him if there was any inspection on the wires to verify that they weren't damaged. He had no record of this. I again asked for an independent inspection and he still refused to cover the cost of this inspection. Again I asked him why I wasn't informed of the repairs done to my new car and why they didn't allow me to make the judgement. It seems they just wanted to sell the car at any cost. I told him I felt they were acting unethically. I also called Karen Sampson (Customer Relations Manager) to talk to her and asked her to return my call. She has never called me back. This car also had a dead battery and had a dent repaired. Not one of these things was told to me before or after I purchased this car. Beware of your experience with this dealership. Don't be fooled! They turned what should have been a good experience into one where I feel that I was cheated and, when I confronted them, they refused to step up to the plate and be responsible. Sad! Real sad! More
