My wife had a flattire on her 2010 Prius. She drove in to get a new tire. Was told she had to replace it with the exact same tire or would "void her warranty" was not given any other options and they cou to get a new tire. Was told she had to replace it with the exact same tire or would "void her warranty" was not given any other options and they could not have the tire there for another 5 days but they would give her a good rate on a rental. She drove the car home on the spare/doughnut tire and we called a few tire stores and finally Falmouth Toyota. Falmouth explained we could replace 2 of the tires and since the tires were rated for 50,000 miles and she had 36,000 miles on the car, it would be a good idea. Voiding the warranty doing this was not an issue. So we drove the car to Falmouth Toyota and dropped off the car for them to do the tires the next day (Saturday) and have the car back to us that afternoon without a lose of five days and no rental needed. Surprise, received a call from Taylor at Falmouth that although the hub cap was in the back of the car, the tire wasnt. When I called I was told the tire was still at Hyannis Toyota and they went further to say "The tech explained to your wife the tire was being left there"..yeah but the hub cap was put back in the car.. Needless to say we demanded the tire be taken to Falmouth, which they did and I dont think we will be going back to Hyannis Toyota or recomedning them to anyone. Oh and I traded in my car and purchased a new car from Falmouth Toyota the same day we picked up my wife's car with the new tires. More
I am very pleased with the new vehicle, however the sales experience was intimidating and high pressure. It was the end on the month,so the heat was on the sales team. I refused to fill out the Toyota's buyers survey, why should I help them improve? As my mother says.,"if you cannot say anthing nice, don't say anything at all". Car dealers never change. I would recommend the vehicle, but NOT the dealership. Phred More
Brought my Tacoma in for a 30,000 mile check. They underquoted the price of the service, but gave me 100 dollars off becuase it was their mistake and stayed right at the quote. Part of the service underquoted the price of the service, but gave me 100 dollars off becuase it was their mistake and stayed right at the quote. Part of the service is replacement of the wipers. Mine were brand new. They replaced them...but put the 'old' ones on my front seat so I could use them again. Free car wash. Free ride to anywhere on the lower cape (including my office in Hyannis!) I was expecting a nightmare, but they were very nice and I was happy. More
The staff was rude and didn't present the problem with the car in a clear and concise manner. The repair dept. did work that wasn't necessary. Did not offer the same discount in person as on the phone. Senior (10%)& free car if bill over $xxx. Claimed I needed more work than necessary..tune up & new tires. Their estimate $2,600.00. I purchased a 04 Lexus RX330 on Presidents Day weekend in 2008. The sales person and manager noticed with me the rattle and said their would be no problem fixing it. But when it came to the service depart 2008. The sales person and manager noticed with me the rattle and said their would be no problem fixing it. But when it came to the service department they said they didn't fix rattles. I eventually took it to Falmouth Toyota which fixed it without charge (a much better dealer). But the main problem was that they sent me home with the car uninsured. They said it was, but my insurance agent later said it had not been. The pressure to buy was excessive. They hid my trade and kept me at the dealership over 5 hours. I like the car and have had great service at Falmouth Toyota, but will never go back to Hyannis. I can't even listen to a radio station when their ads come on. Take note local radio stations. I'm probably not the only one. More
Rick did a great job of setting everything up for me. Marty must of come out to hear the noise we couldnt figure out about 5 times. Both guys did a great job fixing the problem and I would never go anywh Marty must of come out to hear the noise we couldnt figure out about 5 times. Both guys did a great job fixing the problem and I would never go anywhere else. The only downside was that I needed a rental and they had run out. I had to be brought over to Thrifty which was a pain. If you go to Hyannis Toyota.... Talk to Rick and Marty! More
Back in July of 2007 I went to this dealership and although I was an innocent with very little experience in car purchasing, I got hosed. Bought a 2001 Rav4 that I waited almost 4 hours for them to "detail". The price was very high for a 6 year old car. Upon returning to Martha's Vineyard I had my mechanic give it the once over because there were some strange noises going on. He told me it needed a new sway bar and links, the rear brakes were 75% shot and I needed 4 new tires. I had everything taken care of. With financing (over 10%) and an extended warranty I was charged over 18 grand for this car!!!!!!!!! Last week I went to Falmouth Toyota where I had a much different and absolutely fabulous experience. BTW - I had an inquiry into Hyannis Toyota - the manager emailed me 4 hours after my initial inquiry and wrote that a salesperson would contact me shortly. They NEVER contacted me at all. Falmouth Toyota called me about 20 seconds after my initial online inquiry! Much thanks to James R and Amanda at Falmouth Toyota More
They tried to rip off my elderly mom, selling her a used car for $14,000 and then one year later offering her $5000 for the same car in trade for a brand new car. When I nixed the deal they acted very surp car for $14,000 and then one year later offering her $5000 for the same car in trade for a brand new car. When I nixed the deal they acted very surprised. Another Toyota dealer gave us $8000 for the trade a few days later. More
