After test driving the Subaru Impreza my mind was pretty much made up. I told Art that I was going to think about it and to please not pressure me. True to his word, he did not call me trying to pressure me into buying the Subaru. A week later, I went in and bought a 2010 Subaru Impreza. When my daughter recently needed to buy a used car, I called Art. Again, I felt no pressure, and Art sold us a car that my daughter could afford. I would recommend Art and IRA Subaru if you want to buy a new or used car. More
I recently purchased a 2007 Subaru Forrester. From the moment I entered the dealership I was attended to quickly and respectfully from the service employees I spoke to. I then met Art Otremba, my sales consultant, who has been so helpful throughout the entire process of deciding to by a Subaru. He is extremely knowlegeable and informative about the aspects of driving a Subaru. He has a very kind and considerate manner, which has made this experience so positive. When discussing the possibilities of adding some features I was interested in, he clearly worked hard to advocate having these features added before I actually purchased the car. During this process, I also met the General Manager, Mike Garabedian, who also was friendly and courteous when discussing my purchase. He approved the features I requested without any pressure or conflict, which is so admirable in the car sales world. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of service I have received at Ira Subaru. When I came to pick up the car, Art took the time to introduce me to my new car. He was thorough in explaining the features of my car and was very patient in answering the many questions I asked. He followed up with a phone call the next day to check on how things were going. I have never had this kind of quality care and service in my experience in purchasing a vehicle. I will recommend this dealership to my friends and family members if ever asked about purchasing a car. Thank you for making this experience so pleasant and enjoyable. I look forward to working with Ira Subaru if there are any problems or concerns with my car, because I have regained my trust in working with car salespeople. More
I just purchased my first new car here yesterday. I had been to another dealership down the road and although they gave me a good price, I did not feel the level of comfort that I felt the minute I walked been to another dealership down the road and although they gave me a good price, I did not feel the level of comfort that I felt the minute I walked in the door of Ira Subaru. Andy greeted us and brought us over the the manager Mike. Both gentleman were extremely friendly. You could tell the other sales agents were completely relaxed and loved working there. The test drive was amazing....we went on both the highway and a back windy road. I got a real sense for how well the brakes perform while in the parking lot since Andy had me speed up and stop quickly. Impressive! The Standard Subaru Forester feels like you are driving something special, but we ended up with a Premium 2010 model. After entertaining us with several financing scenarios (thanks, Mike) we worked with Eric the business manager on the paperwork. Although it took a VERY long time to get into his office (they were busy) and we were the last appointment, he was not unpleasant or hurried to leave. He was extremely competent and thorough. High marks all around! HIGHLY recommended. I look forward to working with them on service appointments as well. More
Art was very helpful. This was the 3rd car I have bought in my life and it was by far the best experience I have had. Mike Fitzgerald was my salesperson and he was excellent. I knew exactly what I was looking for when I walked in and he didn't try to waste my time selling me something else to get a quick sale. I had to put a deposit down on the car and wait 3 months for it to arrive and during this time Mike was very helpful in keeping me updated with info on the ETA. He even called me one day to see if I wanted to test drive one that was on the lot just to make sure it was what I wanted. Not only that but he gave me a great deal on the exact color, type, options etc that I wanted. The entire process was stress free and I left the dealership not only loving my new car but very happy with the deal I got. The finance managers are very honest and do not try to decieve you in any way. Everyone here tells it like it is and that is something that is rare with car dealerships. Anyone looking for a Subarau (especially a WRX or STI!)I would highly recommend going to see Mike at IRA. More
I have nothing but praise for Joe Silva and the folks at Ira Subaru in Danvers. I have been looking to purchase a new vehicle, and narrowed it down to the Honda CRV and the Subaru Forester. The night I boug Ira Subaru in Danvers. I have been looking to purchase a new vehicle, and narrowed it down to the Honda CRV and the Subaru Forester. The night I bought my Forester, I came from an appointment at Honda North and left in disgust at the saleswoman's insulting nonsense. When I walked into Ira Subaru, Joe greeted me, and was gracious and helpful. There was no pressure. While they did not have the manual transmission model I wanted, Joe and I took an automatic out for a drive and I loved it. It's my first Subaru. I told him what I was interested in and he had the manager draw up several options, and I decided on the one I wanted. There was minimal back and forth on the offer, and no nonsense, as their first offer was a fair offer, and I bought my Forester that same night. I returned in 2 days and they had my vehicle in the color I wanted with the options I requested. Everything was taken care of and I drove away a very happy customer that same night. I highly recommend Ira Subaru. In an age when I was coming to believe customer service was a fleeting business value of my youth, I am pleased to say they have it down to an art in Danvers. Art has been so fabulous! The care doesnt stop with the purchase. He checks in to see if I have any questions and insists that I make my service appointments through him so I can have the time and day I w purchase. (also a car to use while my oil is being changed if I would like one) What I loved best was the no pressure sales. He let the car speak for it self and let me decide with no pressure! I had been to four other dealerships and it was nothing but pressure. After I left the other dealerships without purchasing, they called me day and night offering a "new" and "better" deal than before if I came back and bought the car. Everyone is very nice and gracious. I would highly recommend buy a car from Art. More
Recently I bought a new Subaru from Ira Subaru . In the past 20 plus years I have purchased 6 different vehicles from Ira. 2 Hyundais, 2 Mazdas, and 2 Subarus. That in itself is quite a testimony to t past 20 plus years I have purchased 6 different vehicles from Ira. 2 Hyundais, 2 Mazdas, and 2 Subarus. That in itself is quite a testimony to the level of service I have received . This time I purchased my new Subaru with the assistance of Theresa Scott. She was amazing. And boy does she know her cars. Once I purchased the car she was able to tell me how to operate all those nice "bells and whistles" that one can have on a new car . I would recommend Ira and Theresa to anyone who is looking for a car new or used. Mike Garabedian is the finance guy and he is incredible too. I don't know how these folks can know so much . The decision to buy the car was made easy by Theresa and Mike and they facilitated all the paper work and registration issues for me . Kudos to Ira and special Kudos to Theresa and to Mike Thank you and I look forward to many more years of doing business with Ira More

After reading these reviews again I realize perhaps I should have asked for this "Art" who has all the good reviews....my experience was not so good. I emailed back and forth with Theresa at Ira Subaru of Danvers a half a dozen times regarding my looking for a new car and set up an appointment to meet with her today at 2pm (to discuss a new Outback or Forester). I arrived a little before 2 and was greeted pleasantly by the folks there. On three seperate occasions when I advised who I was meeting with the sales reps informed me they hadn't seen her for a little bit but would find out where she went. All three times the sales people disappeared and I did not see them again. I was finally informed (at 2:25) that the person I was scheduled to meet with was out on a test drive. She came back about that time and told me she would be with me shortly. At 3:00 I had waited long enough and left. I had rearranged my schedule for this appointment yet was barely acknowledged for the hour I spent waiting. I am annoyed my scheduled appointment was completely ignored. I am shocked she did not have the sense to have another rep help me if she was too busy (I was there over an hour and there were plenty of salesmen just milling around). I did receive an email from Theresa about six o'clock this evening (three hours after I left the dealership) apologizing, so I will give them that. However I would not consider giving this dealership my business after this horrible experience and I will certainly not be recommending Ira Subaru of Danvers to anyone - unless you have all day to wait......
