Andy Dole and the rest of the sales team at IRA were fun to deal with. They were responsive, on time, and met all my needs. Other dealers I've visited lately have not presented nearly as relaxed an environm to deal with. They were responsive, on time, and met all my needs. After the deal was closed, Andy and his team only took a day to process everything exactly as I expected and they did ALL the work (set up insurence, registered the car, etc...) More
Joe Silva made the process of buying a new car easy and did not pressure the sales. I found the experience with all the employees friendly and professional. I would definately recommend Joe (and his c did not pressure the sales. I found the experience with all the employees friendly and professional. We just leased two new Subarus with Art as our salesman and Eric as the finance person. Along with Mike and Ed as managers, the entire process was "pleasureable" (as much as car shopping can be). These are and Eric as the finance person. Along with Mike and Ed as managers, the entire process was "pleasureable" (as much as car shopping can be). These are our first leased vehicles, so that aspect was new, although these are the third and fourth Subarus our family has acquired from Ira. Art is not only very good to deal with, but obviously a good person as well, going above and beyond in ensuring that we were very satisfied with the process and in our personal treatment. We hope to return soon to replace a Chevy HHR with another Forester. Have not always used Ira's servicing past (hence, N/A rating), but will be going there with the leased cars. More
I have brought my (automatic) outback sport to Ira Subaru 3 times. the first time they fixed my alternater and said my brakes need to be replaced, and did so. The second time i brought it was a few weeks aft 3 times. the first time they fixed my alternater and said my brakes need to be replaced, and did so. The second time i brought it was a few weeks after the first, because it had trouble going into drive and also stalled and failed to accelerate after a stop, after the first visit. they told me there was nothing wrong. Now about a month later, it practically feels undriveable. It stalls, it wont shift into drive from park, or reverse, it does not accelerate after stopping at a light or sign, and it had also been making a loud grinding sound. So i brought it back. I was told that it was ice behind the heat shield and drive shaft, and the head gasket. Neither of these diagnoses have anything to do with the cars failure to shift. They also gave the car a courtesy inspection in which they noted that my brakes needed attention soon because they were 7mm, when they should be 10. I finally took it to somewhere the dealer i purchased the car from suggested, all he had to do why try to put the car into drive and he knew it was the transmission. now the car that i paid $6000 for less than a year ago is pretty much trash as it would cost $6000 to repair. I've bought three cars (so far) from Ira Subaru and dealt with Fred Armstrong each time, and each time has been a pleasurable experience. Rather than the being the stereotypical car salesman, Fred's a nice with Fred Armstrong each time, and each time has been a pleasurable experience. Rather than the being the stereotypical car salesman, Fred's a nice guy who sells cars for a living and in my experience will do whatever it takes to get you the car you want for the price you want. All three times I've dealt with him I've gotten a more than fair trade on my old car and an excellent price on my new car. I would not hesitate to recoommend Fred to anyone I knew who was looking to buy a new car. The business manager, Eric Feldman, is also a great guy who won't waste your time trying to sell you floormats, or engaging in other tricks to squeeze the last dime out of you. I've also found the service department to be efficient, courteous, and well priced. I've always had my cars serviced there and will continue to do so. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about Ira Subaru or their employees. I'm sure that I'll buy my next car their as well. More
Art is a fantastic salesperson who brings a personal touch to his job. He has now been involved in selling me my new car and leasing cars to my sister and father. We have all found Art to be the type of touch to his job. He has now been involved in selling me my new car and leasing cars to my sister and father. We have all found Art to be the type of person who goes above and beyond what his job entails to make sure we, as the customer, are satisfied, which is why we will always request to deal with him in the future. He really believes in the Subaru as a car and his test drives really showcase what the car can do and how safe it is. He has worked to make our purchases and leases affordable to us, and throws in little extras to make it even easier on us as the customer, always working to make sure the deal is the best for us. He takes his time and does not rush the process, listening to what it is we want. He is also a phtographer and during the time waiting for the business side of things to come together, will spend time showing his photography and making sure we are comfortable. He goes above and beyond and is a great example of the type of person you want to deal with when making a big purchase. I would recommend Art as a salesperson to anyone looking for a car. He is great! More
Our salesman, Art Otremba, made all the difference in our decision to buy a Subaru Forester. His outstanding knowledge of the vehicle, his willingness to demonstrate its abilities during our test drive and decision to buy a Subaru Forester. His outstanding knowledge of the vehicle, his willingness to demonstrate its abilities during our test drive and his patient, friendly approach convinced us to buy. I would recommend this dealership, and Art as a salesman, to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. More
When I went to Suburu my intention was to look at cars but I really had no intention of purchasing. After walking around for a while and looking at all of the cars I figured that I would leave and look at but I really had no intention of purchasing. After walking around for a while and looking at all of the cars I figured that I would leave and look at other dealerships. As I returned to my car a friendly face greeted me, Andy Dole. Andy has a pleasant no pressure demeanor that hooked me in immediately. He asked if I had seen any cars that I liked and I told him that I had but felt they may be a little out of my range. He asked for the opportunity to talk to me about a few. I felt so comfortable that I decided to let him. Anyone who knows me would know that this is not typical of me. I do not enjoy the "car salesman" experience. Andy does not behave like a typical car salesman. He builds relationships. Needless to say I bought the car from him that day, a brand new Suburu Impreza. Mike, the Manager, is also very friendly and does not behave like the "guy behind the wall" kind of manager. He reaches out and works with you. The only negative experience that I had that day was waiting for and working with the finance guy (I think his name was Eric). Something that should have taken 15 minutes to half hour ended up taking another three hours. Luckily Andy was right there between customers checking in with me. The total experience took about six hours and when I returned for an inspection the next day, that took another three hours. No exaggeration. If that had been my total experience I would have been very dissatisfied. Andy made the entire experience tolerable and I would buy another car from him. More
Normally I view looking for a new car with the same ardor as going for a root canal. I don't like high pressure sales tactics nor the usual "let me see what the boss says" that are the usual hallmarks of the as going for a root canal. I don't like high pressure sales tactics nor the usual "let me see what the boss says" that are the usual hallmarks of the experience. I must say that this Ira experience was not typical. It was quite low key. Mr. Otremba was knows his product and is not only proud to represent Subaru but eager to share his knowledge. And it is formidable. He took us on a test drive that showed off the Forester's stability beyond our expectations. Many could tell you how stable the car is but few would actually take you out and show you. He made the car sell itself to us. The rest of the team was helpful, offered us the usual "add-ons" and talked us through them knowledgeably. We feel we got a fair deal, were treated very well and will return in 10+years (we hope) when this car wears out. But we will certainly recommend Mr Otremba and Ira to our friends and family. More
Joe Silva is a wonderful sales rep. He educated us on the Subaru Legacy and was very patient and understanding during our negotiation process. I did not feel pressured by Joe at any point. He was very the Subaru Legacy and was very patient and understanding during our negotiation process. I did not feel pressured by Joe at any point. He was very understanding of our hesitations and concerns. He never gave us the "hard sell" which ultimately contributed to our purchase of the vehicle. If Joe had been any other way, we would have walked out and not purchased the car. He is a really nice guy who knows everything about Subarus. My husband and I were both really pleased with Joe. Before I left with my new car, Joe went over every aspect of its operation in detail and was very patient with my questions. I felt like Joe really cared. I will recommend him to friends who are in the market for a Subaru. Thanks Joe! Kate Sherwood More
