I came in for a 2020 Honda Pilot with a pre-authorized finance letter from Capital One. It was a great deal and I accepted that they wouldn't be flexible on the price, and I also paid extra for Honda Tru finance letter from Capital One. It was a great deal and I accepted that they wouldn't be flexible on the price, and I also paid extra for Honda True Certified Pre-Owned warranty. The financing experience however was unprofessional, and I never received any documents. The car did not come with the original owner's manual or warranty manual. I purchased the CPO and did not receive any paperwork on that or any warranty booklet. I did not receive a document regarding title or affidavit of title (per Indiana law). The finance person, Brandon Kidd, added an "etch" fee of $349 that I never agreed to, and a document preparation fee of $175. I received no documents, only 2 PDFs, all of which were electronically signed so no paper was involved. My financing was also very circumspect and has not been completed correctly. I came in with a pre-authorized offer letter from Capital One auto loans. The dealer is supposed to take the Capital One code or reference number and obtain the funds directly from Capital One. It has been a week and Capital One called me with concerns stating that this was not done. Instead, the dealership took my social security number and ran my credit with 4 other auto lenders, which I did not give permission for, and I am still in limbo as there is no financier involved, no one has a lien on the car, and there are no payment schedules. They provided a 4 page "retail installment contract" that is legally incorrect, that lists the dealer as the lender, and no other paperwork. I am dumbfounded by the lack of records, documents, booklets, and overall lack of organization at this dealership. I personally met with the general sales manager at Indy Honda, David Piercefield, expressing my concerns stated above. He said they would look into it and that paperwork would be sent via mail. I also emailed him the above concerns over a week ago, to which no response was given, and nothing has arrived in the mail in over a week. I was going to hold off on a negative review and give them time, but I still have nothing. More
