Brian Beck was a very helpful salesman. He told me when the car would be in. It actually came in a couple days earlier. He let me know as soon as it came in. They don’t over recommend or try to up sell me services I don’t need. I appreciate their input to keep my cars running and well maintained. Sure the service may take awhile, but I don’t want them to rush and overlook any details. I don’t rush my dentist either, lol. Usually it’s about an hour for a simple oil change. More
Joe our salesman was good, had car ready for test-drive when we arrived, always did what he was able to do to help transaction. Pete & especially Malcolm on the other hand made enough errors on paperwork when we arrived, always did what he was able to do to help transaction. Pete & especially Malcolm on the other hand made enough errors on paperwork and delivery to keep up the "disappointing" reputation that used car transactions are known for. We had walked out the door with our check in hand after failure to deliver the vehicle at the agreed time...Pete talked us back into the deal by offering a discount and home delivery...what should have been offered when we walked in the door and they knew the car wasn't even on the lot. Why they detail a car 41-miles away, only the accounting office knows. Early afternoon the car was delivered by the detail shop. Upon trying to plate the vehicle we found the first error...wrong VIN on ST-108; fortunately title & VIN on actual car matched. After making dealer aware of this issue it was about 10 days before new paperwork was ready for e-signature. Right after completing the e-signature process, the phone rings & Malcolm has an error in the paperwork that was just signed. After waiting 5 minutes on thew phone, new e-signature was ready & completed. Done Yet? Nope, had to meet Joe in Meijer parking lot to "wet sign" about 8 papers the next morning. So Have a ST-108 now? Nope. Multiple texts to Joe in sales to get the paperwork. Week later, it arrives via email in the junk folder. Done yet? Nope. Now Joe & Malcolm are requesting the title of the vehicle back, not likely to hand over a title to a vehicle that was paid-in-full via cash. Finally, after Malcolm texted directly did I see the issue..."we need the title for the vehicle you traded in". There was no trade-in...sure you have the correct transaction? Sad. Happy to say though the used Honda is perfect vehicle for a freshman in college, the 3rd CR-V we've owned since 2008. More
I will never go to Indy Honda again for service. It as very apparent that they were not interested in spending the time to diagnosis my vehicle and get it repaired. I dropped off the vehicle with a very very apparent that they were not interested in spending the time to diagnosis my vehicle and get it repaired. I dropped off the vehicle with a very specific description of the problem I was having (Memory steer). I also gave them suggesting of what parts were likely the cause of the problem. A few hours latter I got a call saying they could not find any problem and I could come pick up my vehicle and pay the diagnostician fee. When I got back to the dealer I ask the sales rep to do a ride along to verify the problem. When he was driving the vehicle with me he said he could definitely feel the problem and they would have take it back to the shop and find the root cause. 30 minuets latter I got another call saying they could not find a problem and I can come pick my vehicle up. I had to pay Indy Honda money just to tell me I have a problem, but that everything was okay. I took my vehicle to another independent shop and provide the same information. Within a few hours they were able to find the problem and get parts ordered to fix it. The part that bothered me the most is that I told them what part was likely the problem and it was in fact that part (Strut bearings bad). Indy Honda Service seems like they are more interested in the quick money making service fixes, and not putting in the effort / time to diagnose problems. But don't worry they don't mind charging you for their time. More
In the past I have purchased a vehicle, had numerous repairs, and purchased parts from Indy Honda without any issues. This last service was very different. I took my vehicle in for an AC recharge and wa repairs, and purchased parts from Indy Honda without any issues. This last service was very different. I took my vehicle in for an AC recharge and was told everyrhing was good. After taking the car home, I noticed the air still wasn't cold so I took it back. Now I am told I need a new Condenser because of a leak. Where was that leak before? Why recharge someone's system if there was a leak and then try to make them pay for another recharge? Non of this makes any sense whether you are a mechanic or not. More
Trade in was good. Price on vehicle was decent. They work back on banking. Do not like working backwards on if I can afford a payment or not. Just because I can afford something does not mean I want t work back on banking. Do not like working backwards on if I can afford a payment or not.
