FINAL UPDATE-After help from the GM, Devin, we were able to get everything fixed. diagnosis turned out to be one electronic item, not several items. The accessories and permanent settings that should be held in the computer are now functioning correctly despite the service manager's insistence that the car didn't perform these functions. we are happy that everything was finally resolved, but I stand by my review of the personal interactions of the service department. we're extremely grateful to Devin and to Hyundai for their constant interaction and excellent support. I have changed my review from one star to four. These really are great cars.

I have, in fact, not spoken with anyone named Pat regarding the issue. Nick helped me through getting some of the things taken care of. The car does look far better than it did when I got it back scratched up the first time. Jeremy, we're sorry you're disappointed. Cold weather and driving conditions can absolutely affect your gas mileage in any hybrid vehicle. It's not uncommon to see lower mpg in the mid 30's and 40's when it’s cold outside. There is no direct repair for poor fuel mileage and if we hooked your vehicle up for a battery check, we would have had to charge you for something we knew would not resolve your concern. You’re inability to take responsibility for your service department’s behavior speaks directly to the integrity of your dealership, you didn’t even look at the vehicle. You did not diagnose or even bother to check. Your team diminished the problem with pure assumption. Review your reviews from other people I’m not alone in my experience. Maybe rush to fix how you provide customer service and tend to the service of your vehicles before rushing to defend the behavior of your service department. Own your mistake: again I’m not alone, review after review affirms you’ve failed to change how you offer help to those bringing their car in.

Marcia, Just for the sake of transparency - you've not purchased your cars from us. You called ahead and we explained the service process and that we don't have any loaner vehicles available at the moment, you came in anyway, without an appointment. We don't know that the engine is bad, it hasn't been diagnosed yet - the back log is due to a corporate issue, not the dealership. Have you contacted the Hyundai dealership where you purchased your vehicles? Maybe they have a loaner vehicle available for you? Thr engine is defective like the last one..The pistons dont fit the cylinders. You already know that. Im rating you on service. You know the engine is bad because its making the ticking noise. Period. The fact that you have a 5 to 6 week backlog is unreasonable and you are not being accommodating because you feel like it. No I didn't buy the car there but Ive serviced the car there along with my last Elantra that also had a defective engine that your service department did a sloppy job on replacing the short block and the engine leaked oil. Check your records. It doesnt matter where it was purchased. Your service is sub par and will be rated as such. As far as not having an appointment you told me I had to have it at the dealership to get in your 5 to 6 week que to even look at the car. I talked to the service manager twice saying I would have it there on Wednesday and now your saying I didn't have an appointment? Really. It doesn't matter where it was purchased by the way. Your a Hyundai dealer. Thats what this is about huh. Disgusting.
